- HOTTEST PEPPER IN THE WORLD| CAROLINA REAPER
Carolina Reaper is an easy to grow, low-maintenance plant. It is the hottest peppers in the world with a Scoville heat measurement of 2 million. It can be grown in containers, provided they receive enough sunlight and water.
FUN FACTS:
The Carolina Reaper is so strong, you're supposed to wear gloves when you hold it.
The Carolina Reaper chilly is 400 times more spicy than the tasty Jalapeno peppers you can get on pizzas, which only rate a chilly 3,500 on the Scoville scale.
It's the same species as the famously fiery Scotch bonnet chilly which is often used in West Indian cooking.
It's not the seeds that make a chilly spicy, it's the white flesh nearest to the seeds that give it its kick
Only mammals feel the heat of a chilly, they don't affect birds at all!
GROWING TIME: SUMMER AND RAINY SEASON( JUNE-JULY-AUGUST MONTHS ARE IDEAL FOR SEED GERMINATION)

1st time grower here! So happy to bumped into your well explained video! About to plant some for the first time this weekend. Wish me luck !
Welcome aboard 😀 Good luck 🤝
I love the juxtaposition between how mellow this video is versus face melting intensity of the pepper you are growing.
its funny because i just yesterday learned the definition of that word
Yeah he’s just so casual and this pepper is like potentially lethal 😅
I've never come across that word in my entire life until now
The simplicity of your life is something I really admire
Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you, Sir. Your videos are so exciting and your voice does justice to the tutorial. Very informative I must say. I have used your method and am glad to announce that all of the 7 seeds which I planted sprouted to young and healthy plants. Thank you once again. God Bless you Sir.

You're working way harder at this than I do and I've been having great luck so far. I hope you're getting some awesome peppers for all this effort.
Top notch illustrative guide to planting. Thanks!
Jusy got my reaper seeds three days ago and was trying to decide if I was gping to container them. Since I have a sunroom (greenhouse) connected to my home I will container them since they go for more than one year. Thank you for this viedo
Great 😊
Where to get seeds?
Thank you! I initially heard the seeds needed to be watered every 4-6 days but I see that my soil is super dry everyday from sun exposure. I was hesitant to water them more because of how much I ehard the mist method was best. I'll go ahead and add more water now.!
This is such a well shot and well explained video! Thank you for sharing brother! ❤
Thank you 🙏

How about pollination? Did you have to help the plant pollinate? Or did it pollinate on it's own?
Self pollinated
@@urbangardeningofficial I've seen other videos where they shook the plant a little or they took a Q tip and swabbed each blossom.
Thank you so much Mohit. Very informative
Always welcome
Finally the most awaited video is out .love it 😍🤩

Looks good for led growing in growbox.
Is a standard potting mix soil okay to use to start with the seeds or should I look at getting a specific seed starting soil like miracle-gro has?
Yes you can also use standard soil mix to start seeds ... Happy Gardening 💐
Wish I would have seen this amazing informative Video sooner. My 1st grow of these still have not harvested yet my climate is not ideal winter comes fast. I have fruits some turning Red now (smooth skin version of reaper) some still green. I can still set them outside for some sun at this point 74-76 F° for about 8-10 hrs then bring them inside. I'm not gonna get a huge bounty from my 2 plants but sufficient enough for my 1st grow. Now with this Video my next grow should be amazing thank you sir.
Why you growing them in winter
@@equation8591 Well that was not my intention I started them back in late Feb early March. They grew really slow, didn't start to form fruit until about mid Aug/Sept. Trying to learn about the best soil mixtures and such like I said 1st time grower if any superhots on a learning curve.
@@equation8591 *of*
@@charliehuff2855 I don’t know much about winter and how it effects chillies as I live in the true tropics but I have 6 seedlings just starting to bush out.

hello sir. I live in Germany, here we don't get enough sun from August. can I still sow the seeds in June? and what to do in winter season? here the temperature in winter season is about minus 10 degree. plz guide
They need warm climate to thrive and full sunlight for healthy growth .....they will not survive below 5 degree Celsius

Oh really...? Thank you so much, Steven buddy!! 👊 I'm thinking what chilis to plant & ur comment helps a million. I think they call the Naga Viper "Marusot" here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 or "Siling Demonyo," translated as "Devil Chili." I tasted it a few times, and it has an extreme kick. 🎉🥰
How do you get rid of the pests?
Hi sir please advise how do I prevent chilli fruit being stink from fruit flies
Burn the plant. It works, the flies gone 👍

Just mix 50% native soil 30% cattle manure or leaf mold and 20% peat ....fill a 8 inch wide pot with this mix and keep 8-10 seeds over the soil surface ..cover them with quarter inch thick layer of soil mix and water with a gentle shower ..keep the pot in full sun as of now 🚿...they normally germinate within 9-12 days and during this period keep the soil mix little moist at all times
keep up the great work!
Thanks 👍

Please consider using a plastic lid or glass plate as a cover instead of all this kitchen wrap... Otherwise we'll have to find another planet at this rate. Love your videos, thank you so much for your tips.
👍🤝
Lol you are so right. I’ve been using Togo containers that have the lids. I work at a restaurant and I tell my coworkers to not throw away the empty dirty containers and give them to me for my seed starting and growing microgreens. Creates a perfect dome and used over and over. 🙏😂💙
Could just not do it at all
