- This weeks video is my top 5 drams from islay. With maybe not all your usual suspect, all £50 or under and to an extent easily obtainable drams too. I have put them in no particular order too. Let me know what you think and what you would add or even take away from this selection,
I got the idea from the great channel that is JeffWhisky for this one.
Slainte and as always let’s talk whisky
Oh! The Lagavulin Offerman 11 yo 4th edition is outstanding and worth every penny! I bought a case!! Cheers!!
Great selection kev..nice description of each whisky and very accurate..keep up the good work
Here’s three more I’d consider Kevin.
1. Ardbeg Wee Beastie £35
2. Finlaggan cask strength £49.
3. Laphroaig Quarter Cask £30.06p. Bought for this price yesterday!
I’m keen to try the Port Askaig 8 , it sounds good.
Many thanks Kevin for your honest, straightforward opinion. Much appreciated. Kind regards, Sandro
Great list Kevin! I would nominate the Kilchoman Sanaig……I think that’s under 50.
Totally agree on your first three picks and didn’t try the Port Askaig 8 (yet) and never had a Ben Bracken though.
I would add Kilchoman Sanaig and The Classic Laddie
Excellent selection Kevin. The first three are permashelf for me. Still to try Ben Braken and Port Asksig however as I’ve never sampled either so I would replace with The Classic Laddie and The Wee Beastie. Another great blog 👏
Terrific list. In Canada we pay $100 before taxes so I often pay the extra and get the 16 that I adore but with taxes it is $200 Canadian. Scotch has become so expensive. Port Charlotte 10 is about $120 before taxes. We pay a lot more. Cheers!
Nice surprise with that last one Kevin! I think you know how I love that Bunna 12yr ❤Cheers!
Cheers Kev, nice review as usual and good subject to cover. Useful.
I’m going to see if I can find a some of these to try
Enjoyed that Kev well done
