The greatest thing about Ren is his philosophy of "A rising tide lifts all ships" he has championed many independent artists (some who were struggling and on the verge of giving up), he welcomes and praises the reaction community and is an all round decent bloke (though some of his lyrics can be a bit naughty). He polices his community and wont stand for bullying of any kind even when he had a major problem with Kujo Beats he forbade his fans from giving the guy grief. He is extraordinarily talented defying genre stereotypes and gives a voice to those without. I am 61 and haven't been this excited about a new artist in decades. xxxxxx
I have watched just “Hi Ren” more than 10 times and have seen about 15-20 reactions. Most still bring tears to my eyes.
I also watch anything from him.

I've never really been into Rap music, I can appreciate it because of the word play & lyricism, but modern Rap turned me off it for 30 odd years. I came across Ren about 3/4 months ago, Whilst Ren Raps in a lot of his music, the word play & lyricism is next level, but what im really here for is the pure raw artistic talent that is Ren.
I've never really been a fan of anyone, sure there's songs & artists i like, but no one does it like Ren. You can only liken him to Prince on a musical variety level, Freddy Mercury on an audience & showmanship level and Andrew Lloyd Webber on a production level. He literally is a once in a lifetime artist

For the filming of this video, Ren and Samuel found this disused basement and snuck in to film.
The owner found out and chucked them out but gave them 30 mins more only
Ten was heading to Canada for stem cell treatment (the first time) and was worried they didn’t have everything they needed and knew he couldn'tgo back to the basement in the future - remember, the vocals and acoustic guitar is all live

I also subbed to watch your Ren journey. Long story short, Ren began having physical and psychological symptoms in his late teens. For ten years, doctors were not able to diagnose him, so they tried many different treatments, most of which made him worse. He was finally diagnosed with Lyme Disease, but by then the disease had ravaged his body and his brain. The Pig mask represents his disdain for the greed and incompetence in the medical industry. You will see the pig again in a few other videos. I suggest you look at "Sick Boi" next, and then "The Hunger" for his rap skills and "The Tale of Jenny and Screech" for his storytelling skills.

If you end up going down his rabbit hole, you’ll find he’s worthy of the Genius title, mastering rap, singing, street performance, acting, beatboxing, a number of instruments, producing beats and he does it all incredibly well in a number of different genres. The whole rabbit hole of Ren is an incredible one to go down. He’s an artist all of his own. When I first heard this, I was dealing with my own mental health and in a very dark place (still am) and the line “and I go by many names also, some people know me as hope. Some people know me as the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope” made me cry so hard. Cos I was at that exact state and it took me probably a good 25/30 times of hearing it before I could listen to it without crying.

He's an absolute genius, once in a lifetime artist, he appeals to all ages and he has loads of content and has no genre, he will blow your mind.
He also allows reactors to monetize his videos so no reason to not to go down the Ren rabbit hole.

I’m so glad you’ve reacted to this. Ren’s artistic encapsulation of pain and transition to hope is the best I’ve ever seen thus far. I was gripped the first time I heard this and I’d encourage you to look into his story; I think he left it up on his channel. He has struggled with illness and this song is a visceral, personal account of how he experienced his struggle. Many people with both physical and psychological illness have resonated with his work, myself included. Thank you for getting around to it and I’m glad his work moved you, too.

Sick Boi and Jenny and Screech are both brilliant. When Ren reached a million subscriptions he made a wonderful message of thanks that is well worth finding too. He has an ongoing battle with Lyme disease and M.E./C.F.S. symptoms, which I share. The fear and the torment are real and Ren is speaking for many of us, whatever our battles are.

Your a few years late to the party but your ren journey is going to be such an experience. His back catalogue is varied and crosses so many genre. He's a totally independent artist. He writes produces directs all his own music. He's self taught piano and guitar. He had a number 1 album in the uk in October 2023 called sic boy....Every song on it is special. Some of my favourites are murder, loosing it, lost all faith, seven sins, but they are all special...a few more like back on 74 is a classic.
More recently he did a fire in the booth a fee weeks ago which if you like rap is a must. Enjoy your journey.

Wow!, I've been following you since the early days. Never thought I'd see you reacting to the amazing artist that is Ren.
I'm a Brit in my 50's and shamefully only found him last August, but have never looked back. The guy is one of a kind artist, even whilst with dealing with his own medical condition. There is a deep and vast hole to explore with Ren, he can do virtually every genre someone throws at him, as well as produce and play different instruments (all self taught).
Your subscriber base will now most likely grow. Looking forward to some more Ren. I'll let my fellow Renegades let you know what to listen to next. Be prepared for the journey!
Ren's real life journey from where he was at to where he is, is more than worth exploring. That he is alive is a miracle as he still struggles to regain his physical health.
