Jeff said in a concert that he actually wrote this song thinking as if he came back from a friend’s funeral. The MV story is different but when you realize that he wrote it thinking a dear one passing away, the lyrics ‘can you please just fade away’ and just the entire song hits a whole different level of melancholy, sadness and emotions.
