Only this one episode has "good" animation but this kind of animation doesn’t show up again in the show and I was hyped for the animation after seeing the first episode. Don’t cock tease me like that. An Anime should never peak at its first episode, always a bad sign. I thought we would see all kinds of amazing twists in a plane highjack episode but the villain was so generic and a bootleg Kaneki. The MC is just flat. His quirk is "I attract all kinds of events" and its never brought up again by him again. After the three year time skip I expected that the MC would have had an amazing character development but no. There is no magnificent difference in him. The dialogue is just so boring, especially when Siesta talks about how she big brained everyone. What the fist episode managed to build up was a dark tone but then it just changes to a boring High school romcom where the episode itself was so uninterested in exploring its plot where the characters just wander of. (Apparently the episode was somewhat of an anime original). And everything is somehow connected to this secret organisation and it makes it just so uninteresting, they definitely missed the chance to introduce a third party where things get spicy and there is no sense of world building which the series would definitely profit from. The episode where Hel gets introduced is so ridiculous. He is bootleg Neji always talking about fate and destiny where its just get annoying. At the end of it there is a freaking mecha fight and its so poorly done and anti-climatic (I know this fight wasnt supposed to be the climax just it felt like it wanted to have us the edge of our seats). When Siesta shoots Watson out of the mecha its tried to make us believe this is where she dies but no she survives. I am not attached to this characters at all because everyone is flat including Siesta. She has the attitude of a Gigachad grandma with out being Gigachad. Apparently a good Anime nowadays needs a cute Waifu even when she is flat because I hear all the time by the fans of this series saying only "Siesta kawaii, Siesta is best girl of summer or Siesta is an OUTSTANDING character". This is the only thing they praise the anime for and seemingly nothing else. They aim for a relationship like in bunny girl senpai between mai and its MC. Except it feels way to forced and there is no Chemistry. More like they annoy each other is what I am feeling. Any way I dropped it midway through the Show and its definitely my disappointment of the summer season. If not of the entire year.
I personally want to thank this anime. It's made me realize that i could make biggest piece of shit garbage show ever, and people will eat it up as long as it has a cute girl in it.
Just wanna point out that Siesta's pistol aim animation is... godly. Damn this anime is exciting
