Gaia By Night at Truro Cathedral

Luke Jerram’s spectacular touring artwork, Gaia, is at Truro Cathedral from 6-28 October 2023.
Measuring seven metres in diameter, Gaia features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface* and is suspended above the cathedral Crossing, providing the opportunity to see the planet on this scale, floating in three dimensions. A specially made surround-sound composition by BAFTA award winning Composer Dan Jones is being played alongside the sculpture.
In addition to General Visiting during the day, Gaia By Night sessions at Truro Cathedral offer the chance to see Gaia after hours in the darker, evening atmosphere of the cathedral. The sessions enable visitors to experience the full effect and atmosphere of Gaia’s internally lit glow against the beautiful architecture of Truro Cathedral.
