I'm a vet, this video for me captures some of the elements of combat that are not known to those who have no experience. For example, fear turning to motivation, survival instinct suppressed, anxiety heightening senses, unsure where the enemies is, lots of shooting to unseen targets, thrill of adrenaline rush from feeling the power of your weapon & aiming to kill. Yes, all this leaves deep scares that last a lifetime, on all sides.

At least some will have experience of fighting in the East since 2014, and this war is 3 weeks in now, you get used to it pretty quick. I didn't hear a whole lot of commands being shouted, they're probably better trained than the Russians, and better motivated, but they've a way to go to be the same standard as some of the Western armies. They have balls of steel though 👍🏻😆

They've shown some serious strategic ability in this war, shame that it comes at so much damage and loss however when catastrophe comes people will be judged on what they DO in response and the Ukrainians are doing incredible things in response to this crisis.

Warriors live for this. Many humans are born warriors. Same feeling you get walking onto a basketball court about to play in the nba finals is the same feeling you get here. Much heavier losses than that of Ukrainians. Even if Ukrainians do die for their country, it is not in vain, it is for the freedom of Ukraine, for existance of Ukrainians, a people whom Putin's Russia so desperately wants to destroy.

Being in a Russian tank crew is about to become the deadliest job on earth.

@Arthur Flegenheimer it's mud season. There is a reason that convoy is spread out over 40 miles sitting on the highway instead of in formations. They cannot maneuver. The whole advantage of an armored vehicle is that it can move. That's why in urban combat their effectiveness goes way down. There's more places for small pockets of resistance to hide, launch an anti tank weapon and gtfo before return fire can even be attempted. So basically they're stuck on a highway, sitting ducks. Not even counting logistical problems, morale issues, low rations and ammo, just tactically, they're exposed.

This is without a doubt the best channel for covering the Ukraine war. They don't report from some newsroom, bunker or within a safe zone. These guys are in the front lines and hot borders in-between skirmishes. Some videos are sickeningly graphic even for youtube but you cannot deny this is real. Never stop Radio Free Europe the world needs to see what is happening.

The one thing that reassured me throughout this video is that, whenever artillery boomed or shots rang out, not a single one of these men flinched in the slightest. That's very revealing. It tells me that they've been through this before and know what they're doing.
As a veteran myself, I can tell you that artillery is f@cking LOUD!!! It's enough to make you wet yourself if you're not prepared. And though I've never been in a firefight, I'd wager hearing multiple guns going off around you is somewhat terrifying as well.

@@thundercuck1779 There are MANY roles in the military that don't encounter combat or are placed in non-combat areas, the military isn't just planes, tanks helicopters and guys with guns, there's logistics, paperwork, maintenance workers, psychiatrists and doctors. pretty much everything you can think of in modern society, it exists in the military too.

People can pay much less than corporations and banks. So this politicians started to inprinting people a thought of separation. In Yugoslav Federation was 6 republics and 2 autonomus regioms. Every republic had this politicians who pushed separation, this was all CIA work. Bit before you need to impoverish people. So who to do this, after 1981 all bisinesses with the west wete cut off, no mote businesses with Yugoslavia and in 10 years from 1981 to 1991 the inflation was abnormal, money started to worth nothing, people started to lose jpbs amd in last year of Yugoslavia cam the idea of separation. People believed to politicians and in 1991 one republic win the referendum of separation. Of course the main republic didn't liked this separation and war started, then the ide goes to the second republic and at the end tje war was all over the YU territory. 4 years of war and im 1991 Yugoslavia - Serbia was bombarded by the NATO. NATO killed a loot of civilians, they strike on two hospitals, car industry where people worked, the same for the tabaco industry for what, because USA wanyed Kosovo, for what? For a mineral and mining resources. And now they did the same thing and Russia could fall apart like a Yugoslavia. And now communism exists only in north corea. China had adopted the same economic system likewas in Yugoslavia, but people we were much more free than Chinese people now. It was almost a perfect system, it wasn't perfect i know that, but now is much worst. No comment. Look wars are wrong, bur who runs the show wants Russia and Putin know this, so he acted beffore NATO strikes first. But wrstern wars are trough economy and speculation, and now they meed to use old weapons. Both sides used mostly older weapons and technology. The warehouses were full and they had to use up this old stocks. Believe me people are suffer for corporate and politician greed. You'll notice that they seem to be traveling fairly light, with no visible heavy weapons beyond the various anti tank missiles. I think this little operation relied on the element of surprize to catch the Russians in the village with a burst of bullets and rockets. I figure they were spotted early, and as they weren't equipped for an extended firefight decided to disappear back into the forest to try again elsewhere. Off course there is only so much you can extrapolate from a few minutes of edited footage and I could be completely wrong, but these kinds of hit and run attacks are pretty standard for chipping away at a superior but less mobile force.
Show up unexpectedly, cause some chaos, do some damage, disappear before the enemy can organize a proper response.
