Oh I completely understand what you’re saying! A lot of times, ASMRists will do their movements toooooo long, to the point that it is no longer satisfying and is annoying. There is a sweet spot for all the crinkles and taps and all of that.
The frantic tapping that others do always makes me angrily close the video lol

asmr is something that can never make me sleep bc i need absolute silence, however, it helps me study bc the sounds give me something for my brain to focus on along with work (which is a big thing for me bc i have ADHD)

This is exactly why I listen to it, as well. I have the added benefit of it making me fall asleep when I need to and can't shut my mind off.
I do listen until I'm about to fall asleep, but it also helps me concentrate on tasks. Music is too distracting, and silence is too loud sometimes😅
Some do that to me. Some of them put me to sleep. I play the ones at work to help me keep calm and carry on especially after a difficult customer.
i can’t sleep if it is too silent because i get stuck ruminating in my own thoughts lol so i use asmr to sleep. i use it also in the daytime to focus better. like you said for studying because of adhd. really weird/interesting how so many with adhd focus better by having something in the background or when kind of half multitasking. or even having a friend along while doing something and it magically gets easier ??

I know looks dont matter that much, but I am always confused when I see the thumbnail because she looks so different than in the Videos. And when I click on the Video and see her "real face" I'm always glad that she looks as usual. She's so pretty, she really doesnt need the Photoshop or Filters in the Thumbnail! 💞 (I bet she's also very pretty without the make up)

I listen to it to get a break from my always racing anxious brain.

I listen to it for both but most often just for relaxing to calm down if im having anxiety..I used to have a high stress job and listening to it during the day helped
Me too with overthinking/anxiety and to make my brain focus on something other than tinnitus when I'm desperate for sleep.
