I think one of the main reasons they didn't nominate her is bc she already performed her new songs in Grammys 2024. So it would be awkard if she performed Houdini & Training season again in Grammys 2025... 🤔

Houdini is a masterpiece
Im 46 and have been a big fan of dance, euro dance, techno etc music since the early 90s and Houdini is one of my all time favourites. Dua is incredible.
THE snubbed song at the Grammys. ROTY for me. Well, with Chihiro, which is my SOTY and so Houdini, for last year.
She should’ve submitted the Houdini extended edit for ROTY, that version is even better than the og one.
@Braticaloptimism well.... idk ab that, both are 10/10, but the climax on the standard one feels bigger, bc the extended has so many choruses. I think the extended needed that amazing guitar riff she had for the Grammys.
Still, snubbed.

@Braticaloptimism I mean Houdini in general had it. Tbh, more songs did: Whatcha Doing's and Happy For You's outro, Illusion's breakdown,some End Of An Era moments (should have been a single.), some Maria and Falling Forever moments...
But I wish it was much more present throughout the the song and not just in one section, or even less, for some moments.
Houdini did have a very psychedelic outro too but the sound was very much there from start to finish.

the genuine joy in her face when she talks about the music-making process is just so contagious, I can feel it through the screen, and honestly that's what drew me to her in the first place. She just keeps evolving, while at the same time also having fun and truly enjoying the thing she does.
