- Path of Titans has finally done something to make the game worth revisiting. What a shock! Unfortunately, the official servers are still the equivalent of eternal suffering, and the rest of the community servers are so heavily modded to the point where it doesn't even feel like Path of Titans anymore. Fortunately, I just might be able to fix that very soon.

Sunfish is a creature that was released into the wild in its' alpha stage and never evolved any differently.
One thing to know about Thal. The leaves you’ll see flying around are actually “thermal vents” and help conserve stamina while flying. It also helps to be an adult because they have much better stamina.

Pesky, Path of Titans is much more fun on community servers, two words: Passive Growth. The speed can also be modified.
Almost as though the creatures grow with age. Novel concept.

But all the good ones have stat changes on them. And i cant live with that, so that brought me back to officials. Does anybody know a server that hasnt got stat changes except for a server that grows you to adult within 50 minutes?
You can actually dive and then fly up again as thalasso and go much faster using the momentum, somewhat like Ark's griffin! Not entirely sure if it's intended and it's a little weird (and dangerous since you take damage for flying too fast into things) but it's totally worth learning to do it, you can cover a fourth of the map in a few minutes in just one full Stam bar (as an adult at least)
12:14 You could always try to limit your frames to see if it increases your performance. Check to see if you don't have any unnecessary applications running in the background too, and make sure your drivers are all updated. There's more you can do, but those are the basic ones lol.

He will most likely just open his own private server, so he can use rulings that make sense for him.

I think we got too used to Murphree and Shiftyvee making based PoT content while Pesky was gone.
I like the idea of quests to speed up your growth, but not have it solely depend on them.
Each server chooses that.
You do realise this makes players active instead of Bush sitting sim

@@Im_Iconic-Youre_Ironic Nah I multitask. Draw or code something, or even play something else when sitting in a bush, instead of collecting branches. Both sitting in bush and POT quests are boring to me, but bush sim is the lesser evil because I can multitask. :D

I have literally never gotten to adult as any dinosaur because I’d rather play on a community server and not wait a month to get to adult. I don’t know how anyone does it.

That's completely false, young sunfish are eaten by many animals and the big ones are eaten by big animals such as orcas, but sunfish are very nutrient low to bother and they rarely ever encounter these predators. They're also constantly getting cleaned from parasites by cleaner fish and birds.

Considering that thalassodromeus was more of a smaller azhdarchid that hunted prey on land using its stronger bite force… I think. But they kinda just made a slow pteranodon really. i think that kinda sucks cause thalassodromeus is my favorite pterosaur. Other than that good video man

Do you really think they care about what the real Thallassodromeus was like? F**k no. The only reason they used Thallassodromeus instead of Pteranodon was so that they could get praise for using a more obscure pterosaur without going through with it (they could have just used geosternbergia but who cares am I right).

yeah, I mean I get why they made it weak (if it was at all strong, people would be getting KOS 100x more). but at that point why not choose a different species? why choose one known for its ability to hunt and its strong bite? really should of chosen a different species or figured out a unique way to balance it.
but atleast its not as bad as other games first flyer experience..
Btw every semi aquatic got improved water movement and 60% more speed, so all of them are super fluid too now :)

One thing though with the babies is that all your stam, oxygen and health is lower than adult so you definitely should just hop on a server to play adult if you want the experience of full stats

@@dunit911 Mods that add animals are messed up balance-wise, and on purpose so they get more attention by the community.
Comparing Pycno to a modded carno, knowing this fact, doesn't mean much.
I hope they re-balance Pycno's charge ability and increase it's combat-weight a little, pycno really doesn't need much to be very fun to play as.

Haven't played the update myself but it seems... alright. Could definitely be better, but I do have doubt it'll be changed soon because of the hype there is of there just being a flier and aquatic in the game.
To be honest, the mega slow growth and quest grind is why I like private servers and modded maps that have built-in increased quest rewards.

To just see a plesiosaur on land in the middle of the forest in the title screen is oddly funny and dark lol
if you do your waystone and homecave quests you get way more growth as a little buffer to start you off.
The one thing I currently don't like about Thalasso is the way it's flying stamina decreases : Weither you go full speed (sprint) or try to fly slowly you lose the same amount of stamina anyway so there is no point in trying to fly slowly.
I doubt it's a planned feature, more like a bug to the stamina drain, but it's still very annoying. If you lose the same amount of stamina by flying either fast or slow, then "fast" should be the default speed since there is no point in trying to fly slowly...
itd be nice to have a functional glide too that saves stam

you can hover over items and collect them which is neat
I honestly want either a rework on the questing system (like better rewards for completing a quest that takes forever, or quests that make more sense. Seriously, why is a Carnivore collecting Acorns or an Herbivore collecting Bones?) or add passive growth and make the quests for marks only so you still have a reason to do them.
I have found a pretty good way to get places a lot faster as thalassodromeus, you hold down shift and space and look at the ground with your camera, it let's you gain altitude and distance pretty quickly

really excited for whatever server your working on, i've been feeling a drought on this game ever since i got it because although the faster growth times for community servers, but most if not all of them have too many mods and it just doesent feel good to play.
Feel like most of them dont have enough :) the more creatures the more special encounters
A very good server that doesn't have many mods and you grow fast is Obsidian jungle realism 2

But I myself have been very happy with PoT since it’s very start. Not every update was perfect and allo really was the only let down for me when it was finally dropped after so much hype

The flying in pat is so much better than the isles in my opinion. Plus the Thas being able to dive in water is the cherry on top.

About your laptop if you had your laptop on your bed its ruins the fan very fast and it would overheat even if you just leave it on without playing games
The frame spikes give me bad memories lmao, for my old laptop it was due to overheating. A good clean should fix it, worst case scenario replace the thermal paste?
I suggest playing community servers, they sometimes have passive growth
thalass feels slow when your playing it but when you dive and then ascend fast you can get a lot of distance

FOSSIL FIGHTERS MOMENT
Gondwa is a beautiful map I love it. Ever since the update though, the server will close without warning. It does this even on Panjura now. And the last 5-10 min before it closes out does not save. Any marks I made are taken away, and it returns me to the location I was 5-10 min prior to close out. I hope this gets fixed, as I am actually wasting time playing g now bc I don't know when the server will close.
Edit: Kai having less O2 reserves than Spino and Sarco is lame.

I mean yes the quests take a long time for growing, but... you do not lose all your progress when you die like in the isle. So once you have grown your dinosaurs slowly over time they will stay big no more growing needed. Think about losing a 8 hour grow time rex in the isle.
Both systems are bad(at least currently) imo. I mean,I'd rather engage in the game to progress like in pot,but with how the devs want it to take literal days to grow on officials with the lackluster quests they have(and even nerfing quests that let people grow slightly faster than usual),I can 100% see why people wouldnt like it
Then again,it's not like they can do much with quests anyway. Every game with them follows the basic 'fetch,kill,collect,explore' system,with maybe puzzles or something here and there. Questing being enjoyable on pot relies on the devs being able to make AI work,and being able to write decent narratives or stories for em
Also potentially hot take,but growth is,gameplay wise,a stupid progression mechanic. Obviously the older(or 'higher level') characters should be better in many ways than their younger counterparts,but you cant exactly have engaging gameplay till you get to at least sub(or if you're an apex,till you get to adol). Pvp and(more importantly) pve as juvis is a chore and a half
Imo,this lies in the fact that,if you were to scale stats for growth to allow youngins to immediately engage with what the game offers,it could 'break immersion'. Which really shouldnt be a problem with pot because it has fucking teleportation magic,dinosaurs that can heal people by screaming,wildly inaccurate sizes,etc
Also fun fact,in the past,pot characters had a 'level' under them(it was always listed as Level 1),but it seems to have either been ditched once growth came along,or a little after. I would've loved to seen a levelling system for this game in place of growth. Gives us a form of progression and gameplay loop without the clear disadvantages of growth,accuracy be damned!
Ya know u don’t have to do official servers I mean there are death match servers and other servers with passive growth like auranea
The Teutonic servers are good, they multiply the quest growth/marks a fair amount and don’t have any mods. Once I found them I never touched official again
Hey pesky there is this underrated roblox game called prior extinction the graphics are insane they have a wellbeing system that makes the game super realistic the only probleme with it is the prices and some goofy hit boxes but that will be fixed in the next update
funny i played fossil fighters frontier on my 3ds and i found that one of thalassos moves did ok damage but put him in a near untouchable position and was pretty spammable

I figured out how to actually fly faster.
Basically treat the flying like how you would fly a griffin or snow owl in ark survival evolved.
So basically swoop diving to go faster.

The reason I like the isle more is because, path of titans has alot of dinosaurs, but all the herbivores have the same play style, and the same with the carnivores, but in the isle envrima every single dinosaur play's its own role in the ecosystem and it also has its own atacks and stuff, and the isle envrima also has better graphics

Thank God Im not the only one who thinks the flying is stupid slow for the amount of stamina it takes. Like the map is massive at least let us fly fast enough so it doesn't feel like a chore to keep landing.
It's not that thal is slow imo,it's that juvi thal is. Because,yknow,making the worst growth stage that you spend a lot of time in a chore to play through is good game design
