i grew up in jamaica and cleanliness is instilled from the toddler stage. wake up, make your bed, brush you teeth, wash your face before you even speak to anyone...etc
I remember seeing kids brush their teeth after breakfast and eat breakfast in their pajamas. I was shocked!! 😂
One of the Reasons I love their culture
Jamaica is a third world country. Nothing clean about any black nation around the world. Dirt roads, no proper plumbing or filter water systems in every home. Weak power grids. Trash and debris everywhere. Only the tourist areas are clean. And white or chinese people control those areas of Jamaica.
Jamaican men are very clean and are great cooks! I am west African so Jamaican men really stood out to me.
🇯🇲/🇺🇸 when I see ppl get up and eat, get on their phone or computer before cleaning themselves up and drinking something warm I am grateful for the culture that I was exposed to and was instilled within

I could be wrong, but I think the real problem is we don't talk about the tone. Meaning, a lot of us, growing up had the belief that chores was a punishment as opposed to a benefit. Based on the tone! "Clean up your room, wash those dishes, take out the trash"! All of that yelling, mentally you start taking shortcuts. You're thinking you're getting by on your parents but you end up hurting yourself! That's why I believe it starts with our tone!

It’s shocking to see how many people live in filthy disorganized homes. Cleaning is a daily thing , you clean as you go.
Always clean up before you go to bed and make a morning checklist. Wake up and grab that checklist and read it out loud. The first thing on that checklist needs be, say out loud, "Thank you so much for another day."
I like to go mind, body, and surroundings.

Pull ups, push-ups, abs, squats,
Surroundings make your bed, clean up anything you missed the night before.
Always take a walk outside and get sunlight, expose your arms and legs even if it is cold. The point is to get sunlight. The darkest places around the world have the highest rates of suicide, depression and substance abuse, getting sunlight is non-negotiable.
Supplement with vitamin D, very important. Especially for people who are more melanated and those who do not live in sunny places.
Also open your windows, recycled air is like drinking backwash.

I love being clean . My spot is emacculent and so are my cars. Kitchen and bathroom clean , clothes neatly folded , bed made up , all the mirrors i just wipped , towles and wash cloth folded looking real pretty in linin closet. BEING NEAT AND ORGANISED IS THE SHIT

This is true about hygiene. The parents don't bother to instruct their children on hygiene. I had a nephew visit and his parents packed him cologne and everything. When it came time for his bath he just sat in the tub and when asked if he was finished he said yes. His body was dry. I'm like did you wash your butt? He sat there looking lost. I'm like you need to wash your whole body with soap. You are going to stink if you don't. He's like, but I have cologne!

Also the reason veneers are so popular these days is because so many people had little to no dental hygiene as children and continued that into adulthood.

I SWEAR! It may sound like a joke lol but that car reference is kiiiiinda real and deep 😂 that’s why I can’t stand a dirty house, kitchen, bathroom, my car dirty carpets. I feel so much better when my crib is clean no clutter it’s like I can think better.

Unfortunately, a lot of people were NOT raised. Considering, RUclips has how to do videos on everything; how to properly bathe is available too. As well as proper undergarments, dental hygiene, hair care & foot care. If you need clothes but don't have money for them, goodwill, salvation army & other 2nd hand places have really nice clothes; some new, some with tags on them.
