Going up in October for first time was wondering if any pointers on some non combat fishing areas, going with a fly rod for the first time as well just trying to have fun
These fish gotta eat. You guys that disguise a hook as the fish's favorite food source in order to catch them are so unethical. My lord the social media ethics police are too much. Thank you guys for the hard work involved making fishing videos for people to enjoy just because you want to.
My God! I can't believe I was watching this video past its introduction. Any fisherman worth his/her salt knows you should be fishing upstream using the technique you are using (read Frank Sawyer). Then when you walked away from the bank to land the fish. . .I'm speechless. Have a nice day sir.
My God! What are you crying about? You can fish upstream all you like bud..I'll fish where ever and how ever I like...I don't care about some dude from 1800's
@@cromedrifter8611 its indeed, "flossing". any rig with split shots above the hooks intending to use the rig to sweep in a horizontal manner to hook onto fish without the fish biting, especially with intention of using in shallow water and standing at a 60-90 degree angle upriver from a hole is considered, "flossing", if you look at some of his hookups, it broke off early and fast, almost without a fight. this is a clear sign of flossing, that along with casting from 2 to 11 o'clock or vise versa. now, would i consider this, "unethically flossing", no. what you describe would be snagging, where the person sets the hook after the end of the swing. that would most definitely be just snagging. some fisherman would consider this rig in any manner, unethical, no matter the form or intention. i honestly really dont care, because this is how i started to fish too. everyone generally started to fish this way, and move up to more ethnical and challenging ways of catching salmon with rigs that doesnt intentionally snag fish. salmon most definitely, "bite", not out of hunger, but from pure instinct and agitation. i suggest try floating with skein and spinners. it works, but you'll soon find out that only the fresher fish that are pushing up will bite, and not the ones on beds. Thank you for coming to my ted talk
love all this fihsing videos thanks for another great szn.
