After we finished recording Fun Machine: The Sequel we headed straight from the studio to The Sultan Room to play the tunes in a special, unannounced show for our Brooklyn friends and a few fans. IT WAS A BLAST and we’re excited to share some of the footage from that night.

I'm currently celebrating my 29th birthday, on a plane waiting to take off to Hawaii. I almost took my own life several times along the years but I'm still here and I'm glad I made it. Perfect way to start my vacation.

Twenty years ago I sailed from SoCal to Hawaii on a big wooden sailboat. Jorge, one of the trainees, turned eighteen as we made landfall after 19 days offshore. On the way home, we left from Hanalei Bay (like puff the magic dragon) taking 24 days to get to San Fransisco. Waking up that morning after an epic adventure, it was my turn to have a birthday as we made landfall. I turned 25 that morning. It's the kind of amazing you never forget. There is so much amazing that is still in front of us. Darkness is temporary. The amazing you get to keep.
I feel that.

That guitar solo seems like a lot of people could sleep on it. Very much a vocal phrasing to it, which I love more than the shredd-y guitar solos as I get older.

try khruangbin then (its a band) mark seers said he writes this guitar section as if they were vocals singing because they dont have a vocalist and their music is amazing. i reccomend the songs "dern kala" "august 10th" and "august 12th" and "mr white" and "two fish and an elephant"

Wow, just heard this on a stream and ran here to see a live performance. When you’ve got an amazing vocalist like Rachael who could’ve easily tore this song to shreds but she steps back and this man absolutely kills on this! Such an amazing transformation of an already great song. What an amazing band!

I saw "You're Still the One" in the title, and as I'm honestly not a big fan of the song, I scoffed at the idea of LSD covering it. I skipped it...then I skipped past it again, then again, but I kept seeing it, so I reluctantly clicked the video. Boy, am I glad I did. This has got to be one of their best, and funkiest covers, and definitely the best version of this song. Very cool stuff.
Akie is such a gift to the world and dammit if he didnt make this already great band even better.

My Cousin (an award winning prof vocalist) intro'd me to Lake Street Dive (i was going to abbreviate but it didnt look right) 6yrs ago. Its her favorite of all time & says "R's voice is EVERYTHING". Im happy to see their fan base exploding. Everyone should be so blessed as to listen to this awesome band!

Almost more than anything else, I love a band who is having fun while preforming. Idk why but watching a band play together, looking at each other when they hit a different run or whatever it is, that's what I love most about music I think. You know Akie is improvising those runs every time he sings this song too

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Saw them at the Hollywood Bowl in the early fall of 2022. They OWNED the night as the opening band. Such a class act - they make covers their own and their original catalog is unreal. A complete band, musically and vocally. Just listened/watched this 10 times with quality earbuds. So much going on here - and it was live. Nothing better, true professionals💙 And they are not newbies! I sure hope they do something special after their current break🤞🏽
Whenever I try to hook new people on to LSD this song is mostly in the package of baits. And while trying to find the right ones for the particular person I end up just binging song after song and getting lost in the LSD universe. I am so looking forward to the European Tour next winter! Going to see them twice, lucky days ahead!
