Also he was John Legend’s executive producer and manager for years. As for Nicki, she is a theatre kid to her core, this is the pinnacle of her using the skills she learnt at performing arts school. She earned the title of queen, it wasn’t simply bestowed on her. Its the same reason why they’re mad at her, she raised the performance and writing standards and as a result female rap is now taken as a serious, commercially viable investment for record labels.
