Love your videos. It's a shame they never fixed it up. I bought a place that was abandoned for 7 years. Bought it for the land and newer barn but am fixing the house to eventually live in as time and money permits. Hope I don't fail like the people here. My house was built in 1905 by a farmer for his daughter as a wedding present. She died in childbirth but her family remained. The previous owner had done some renovations, but became a recluse and eventually abandoned it, but kept making the bank payments. The pipes froze and burst, basement flooded, 22 raccoons had moved in (removed prior to house going on the market, making an unbelievable mess. The joists in the basement rotted, causing floor sag. Moldy basement, vandals cut the wires and took short lengths, just enough to make it impossible to reconnect, malicious rather than for the copper I believe. Ex boyfriend of former owner some speculate. Needs electric, plumbing, furnace, had the structural work done already. A descendant of the original farmer's daughter had also tried to buy it and renovate it at some point, I was told. He abandoned his efforts and walked away. Hopefully I'll be able to succeed in saving the place as there is a lot of neat original unpainted wood work and stuff. Apparently the place was full with just narrow isles (hoarder) prior to it being cleaned out and put on the market. I always dreamed of saving one of these old houses, now am doing it, but a lot more work than I imagined, especially when raccoons have been in it.
That "water damage" is what fire damage looks like.
Really neat place! Great video as always man! 👍😄 really cool layout of a house !
Thanks! It was a very interesting layout!
6:07 square hole in flooring was used back in the day 1840s 1890 era light candle stick chandelier. Cool old house. Its historic which was updated later in life. Stay safe. Thanks for sharing
Not much left in the house itself, still worth exploring. The garage and the outside seemed to have more to offer, the old bikes were cool. You just never know what your gonna find do you? Good video dude 👍
😂 birds always fly at me too, that light switch plate was fancy haha cool find 👌🏼
Thanks Tracy!
I don't understand why people leave all their stuff. Every time I moved an we moved a lot in the military we took everything and left it spotless
pat goff they die
That square hole in the floor in one of the upstairs bedrooms , I think was for heating the up stairs , i used to live in a very old house when I was a kid. And that's how we heated the upstairs with gravity heat.. the only thing missing there was the register grate, that covered the whole . a register grate you could open or close depending rather how much you wanted the room heated..
Thanks for the info Dominick!
That house would have been nice all fixed up shiny bright and new. Big open rooms sad to see it going to crap. You guys need to be careful walking around in the fields this summer as I heard that ticks carrying lyme disease are real bad this year.
Funny! I always yell, 'Hello!!" just to make sure no one is there and that if there are animals, I hope they are spooked by my presence and go hide! lol Good job! :-)
Definitely don't want to run into any angry raccoons! Thanks!
What a whacky house. Looks like there were several additions. The sunset and views are amazing!
This was great..Makes one wonder how these great old houses that were once homes ,bustling with life become abandoned.I wonder what secrets it didn't give up? Thank you for sharing.
Abandoned old farmhouses are always creepy yet interesting to me.....👍
you have balls going in to the basement alone
Why? No boogie man ? lol
Loved it. Always amazes me how many rooms you can get in this sort of house. 🍀🌹🍀
Love your videos! Your always crackin me up, like you saying "bird almost nailed me in the face"! I Love these huge houses, expecially when they can be fixed up! Love the Windows! have you ever been to Oklahoma? if not, we have lots of creepy houses and they're fixin to close 4 schools here in Tulsa because of old age. there's also a couple of houses in the area of where they filmed "The outsiders"! though you'd like to know about the schools and houses! I just subscribed, cause I love your videos! Have a good one, and keep up the Great work!
Lisa M.
Thank you Lisa! I would love to visit OK sometime but haven't had the chance yet!
3:11 / 6:03 / 13:25 / 15:03 My favorite 4 sound bites from this explore !
Most strange! I enjoyed this, Thank you so much! xo
Thank you Rose!
Your welcome! Be careful! xo
Rose! 3:11
Would love to restore a home like this.Looks awesome.
info! the fire hose was used to carry water out to the big field sprinklers.
Cool old place. Great explore. Really nice place.
Thanks!
Another great explore Matt. It looks like that one part used to be a nursery or something. Cheers Matt.
Shame it can't be saved! Looks lovely!
Thanks Lucy!
Wow, what a beautiful piece of property!! Where was this place? I could just imagine waking up to a beautiful view like that! Great find!
What an interesting place! Where is your mask?
especially all that black mold and all the dust kicking up!!
I would love a house like that. It is sad to see it empty. It needs a big family.
that closet is so narrow wow great explore ;)
Great work as always. Awesome find!
Thank you for sharing your adventures
Thanks for watching Pat!
This was a nice video. I like the staircase to no where. Those narrow walk-in closets were interesting. Can you imagine a real estate salesman trying to talk someone into buying a house with such torturously narrow inefficient walk in closets. Lol :) Your timing in filming the birds was perfect. I enjoy all your videos.
Another great explore guys!! 👍
Thank you Linda!
Hey there I just love that old house.. it was different and looked like a pretty good size home.. all the memories that house has is probley great ones.. I can picture a family there just doing their everyday life thing...anyway have a great one keep em coming...peace
Awesome videos you post"! Wish i could join you all in your explorations!
Great video! You always do an excellent job. Thanks
Thank you!
539 Productions You're welcome.
Hi guy's that was awesome and creepy at the same time. I really enjoy both of what one see's and what the other one see's, its real interesting. Thanks Matt and Adam for going out of your way to show us the awesome video's, until the next one stay safe.😉👍👍👍👍
I do love that creepy feeling from time to time! Thank you Tina
Great find! 👍👍👍
Thanks bud!
Enjoyed video. Kind, clean narration. Did worry about no masks, in the light off of your flashlights the dust was thick. Stay safe and well. 🔔
I always enjoy watching your video's, awesome 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Excellent video!
Thanks Ann!
Love your videos guys! What a neat old house, any idea how old it is?
Thanks Jason! I would guess building was started around the 60 - 80 year range. Probably been abandoned for about 20 years.
Really nice for as old as it is.
The square hole in the floor was probably covered with a grate at one time for heat/air exchange. Great explore
A really interesting place, it gives just enough information for you to guess what each room was but hardly any furniture left. That mural was in a weird place I would expect that to be in a kids bedroom maybe and that piece of furniture when you first walked in Matt was gorgeous. I agree with Adam as I love the tall windows too. Thank you for another interesting video guys xx
Thanks Sue! Yeah, that mural really had me wondering!
Another Goodie..! Thanks boys, for Your little insight into Bygone America, for the rest of Us (World) to See...
Thank you for your support!
love your video.. its awesome....
Assuming there is no "forced air heating" the purpose of the hole in the floor (missing the grate), was for heating the upstairs. (Lived in an old home in NH), had the same thing, furnace in basement.
Hi! You should have looked in the bottom stair of the stairs that when no where. Looks like a hidden compartment. Who knows.
I like older houses like this because of quirks like the multible stair cases.
Come with me for *Thirty-Seconds of Urbex Paranormal* starting at 2:55 to 3:25. At 2:55 Matt is walking towards a small opening in the wall as he approaches to his left is what seems a metal A/C unit?, also right before he reaches the opening notice a *space* between the a/c & this opening. As Matt ponders the thought of Jason or Leather face hiding somewhere (ironic) He looks in but nothing- hold on as he turns away at 3:03 an orb shoots across in the distance. Matt now leaving immediately in that space we noticed another hole in the wall we see what might be a face??? yet Cant be sure , at 3:04 yet another hole this one next to that metal box a/c unit has light that shows a shadow fingers/hand that turns to what ?? a face again but no quicker its there than something blackout the light and gone! As Matt walks the maze he smells terrible smells of what a demonic presence ? then at 3:16 look to your left its easy to see its the only bright orange thing (or any color)around. We see it better by 3:19 as we get close we see something dark above it - with a sinister huge eye ! They look like demonic creatures the fire colored one has horns but all that's for sure is they seem to move and morph as Matt gets closer and the smell gets worse at 3:21 bam there it is what do you think it is ? Well 30 seconds of paranormal- "maybe" take care !
Please more back stories
Wow interesting place got a sick feeling there too bad this place just rotted away
I wish they could have saved it
Me too! Would make someone a really nice place to live!
The hole in the floor is supposed to have a grate on it, and one on the bottom. It's for heat from a wood burning fireplace to reach the room above.
Someone had tried to repair it. Newer furnace andpiping. Drains too. Electric isn't that old for an old farmhouse. Water softener in basement as well.
Hi Matt love the video. It looked like a crazy person was doing the renovations. What a shame the roof has damage and all those windows missing house wii stat to fall down if someone doesn’t resume renovations. The shed has roof damages so it will soon fall down
As Matt approaches the stairs and the 3:58 mark pay attention to the speed of the camera it seems to glitch for a split second this momentary lapse is much more noticeable at .50 or .25 speed but why ? well if you stop/pause at 4:00 hanging down is some pink insulation, look beyond it to the first step there is an Entity you can tell because you should be able to see that last bottom step but its being covered or camouflaged by a spirits in front of and below the stairs go frame by frame and you will see them change. I know this is stupid to those not into the paranormal. I apologize I find it interesting. thanks
Cool!
Thanks!
Nice job
Good video :)
So you just go to abandoned houses trespass and stuff and you don't get in trouble?
It started seeming like a ghost town towards the end. If y'all are ever up in MT look up the ones there. There's one that would be in any book of places to visit and I can't remember it. I lived in Butte, MT for 6 years. There's an old house of ill repute there and it's supposed to be haunted. But when I went to the big hotel in the ghost town, upstairs I started feeling sick and like someone was there. I was flying down the stairs and out the door. The ONLY time anything like that has ever happened to me. Plus it's one of the safest places to be in COVID! Thanks guys and girls!
Just found you today. That house made me really think about who lived there 20 or 30 years ago. I could picture a family with kids. Garden in the yard. I bet at one time that was a beautiful home. Wonder if it is haunted?!
Really cool. But who knows what one may unwittingly carry out of one of these places, or what might....follow you home...
It is an old house that has been added on to a few times and remodeled over the years
wow brilliant x
Thanks!
Awesome video; your braver than me, going into basement ( seen to many with water )..
shock, not vandalized? Thank You.
Thanks for the video. Personally I think the most valuable item's are next to solid objects ie 💰 coins. I would l look around the foundation, sidewalks, clothes line post and so on.
Great video's guys but Adam you need to wear shoes or boots you're going to mess your Tootsie's up and were would we be while you recover.
Hi I just subbed to your channel, really enjoying you and your travels. When you first entered, that was a headboard from the 80's, for a waterbed! I had the same one, only with Lights installed. Stay safe, from Southern California.🇺🇸
Thank you for the support! Always wanted a waterbed!
You are so cute. Love your voice!
Thank you Jan!
You should get yourself a wind muff for your camera, they work great to mute the wind whistle.
Love your video
Thanks Elaine!
Love your videos!! You are so handsome Matt!!
Thank you, Lisa!
Looked to me like someone was starting some renovations.
This house looks beautiful outside but inside is other thing
Adey! ennada solra?
Thanks for watching! I am sorry but I am unable to translate that for some reason.
Strange place. Either the the original builders (or maybe it was added on a little at a time) or the people restoring built without plans. I guess they could have been worried it was haunted and the quirky steps were to trip up ghosts. Anyway it was like we need___?___, so let's put it here with no thought about what made sense! Kind of interesting though. Nice job
Thank you Betty! I agree, very oddly built/added-onto.
I'm the500 like😃
Cool!
Nice
Old farm house. Probably ran out of money in renovation.
Now thats a haunted house.
Wow, I just saw this place explored by another person
sad what a waste so much history
Nice notice on that address.
new sub
Thank you! Good to have you along for the journey!
Nice old place. Broken up into apartments. That is probably why address was altered. Very smart not going alone. You should look into a mask against mold. Hole in floor is an old way of circulation between floor. Old farmers trick.
I did some checking on the Medicine cabinent from the name within when it was opened... the name Miami-Carey is vintage & the year is 1955 }
Wow, that is old! Nice detective skills there, Laura!
Thank you... :-)
At 1:22. I have Headboard just like in my work shop.
Somebody gave up on restoration... scary-looking house.
I thought y'all'd find some damn skeletal remains in the "burn pile".
the house has been added on to. addition.
The setting your friend has on his camera is awful. Everything is distorted and drives my eyes nuts lol
What does 539 stand for???
…”ON THE TUBEofYOU,,, i like this….I LIKE THIS ‘ALOT !!! CLEVER TWIST , FROM A VERY, VERY CLEVER MATT MAN ! i’m so busy watching the 539p MARATHON that i haven’t been able to see this one yet . I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO SEE IT !
Thanks Kevyn!
Great video! Today, I spotted you on RUclips 539 Productions. Definitely I'll watch you in the future. If you can, check out my channel! I'm filming almost the same videos as you. Thanks!
Such a large home with practically nothing of consequence left behind, except for the m.r.i. orders - that can't have been by accident. Perhaps his wife died; hence, the bad porn? A sad spot, no matter the situation. Strange, that blocked staircase-turned-wardrobe. The closets resemble cloakrooms in my old elementary, complete w/coathooks.
Could be a former cult base.
the big square hole he was looking at the old farm houses and then old big houses they had air vents they had metal plates that went over top of those and those were cold air vents to air of the house where the air would go through the house I don't think it really works but it might if I don't know
😂 that's not a dog house it's a baby crib a la countryside fashion 😜
I went through Cairo airport in an orange crate who needs shop bought smansy fancy 😜
I slept in a dresser drawer for 3 wks. after I was born, and sat on phone book's in the car when we went away, and lived to tell about it!
Ms. Pete Sidewalk and I reckon we are blinking excellant because of it 😉
You look better wit the hair cut and natural hair color. Red is not for you.. JS
