The current crop of writers really do not seem to know what to do with the older characters. They made Audrey completely weird and they are doing the same with Rita. They should be able to write scenes so the actors have less to do without making the continued presence of these iconic characters feel like a forced imposition upon the plots.
I don’t think Audrey has gone completely weird. She had a suicide attempt a few months back and she’s probably changed her outlook on life for example taking Sam on the cruise. But I think audreys going to have something to do with stephens downfall. Since he’s obviously trying to get her money. Rita i don’t know what they can do with her, she has no family apart from Jenny and Gemma. They’re never going to kill Ken off unless he dies in real life or he wants to retire
