The difference between Platinum and Gold is just astonishing!
Great series from Daut, he really went berserk that last game. Heartbreak for Running. He had potential, but he messed up his eco macro a few times, especially that last game. El Dorado romans was nice from Daut too. gg wp!
Omg, all the three times Running was so close! Running, sooo painful watch him gaining initiative/advantage and not be able to follow and close :( otherwise - super content as usual!
The one...... The only........
THE LORD!!
#TeamDauT
So awesome to have a german player now to cheer for, who has huge potential and is just lacking some confidence and experience to win series like that.
I love his strats, his micro is very strong and its just that tiny bit like the late tech switch in game 3 which is missing.
I don't understand why in the first game running didn't move his villagers to the woodline on the left of his castle
It had to be the Lord himself to bring the Romans to the table! I am hyped!
man i am a Daut fan, but i was rooting for running to at least get one win from these amazing games and strategies. Would love to see more of this! Great games!
Running truly does have the potential to start taking games, he is almost there. Last game where he kind of froze cost him, he will improve eventually
Just because someone in the chat during the video mantioned as a fun fact that the romans were originally from rome: That ist not correct. The Romans were Latins originally, an italic tribe rather from the south, while Rome itself was probably founded by the Etruscans who came from the north of the peninsula.
I can confirm this is a certified T90 classic featuring the LORD
praaaaaaaise the laawd
Spoiled! T90 casting Yo yesterday, Duat! Wooooooo!!! LETS GO!
DauT Running to where?
(reminds me of the Jeremy Irons while Tom Waits pic (nowadays people call it meme, but never liked that word, don't know why))
SPOILERS FOR GAME 1
...
That first game was in many ways very exciting and in many ways very disappointing. It was a great strategy but the difference between winning that game and losing it was simple macro. That game went about as well as it could have for Running, he hit all of his win cons, and he still lost. A few villagers on food and he wins that game.
T90 What do you think of Gurjaras for El Dorado Map? Instead of keeping the livestock idle, it could be generating food, plus the vills could be getting some other resource instead of spending time on sheep.
I am not T90, but I think it would be pretty bad, because if you are rushing your mill you can't build a lumbercamp and there are no stragglers, and even if that was not the case you would probably still want a dock before a mill, I am not sure which build is ideal for gurjara on water maps, but I also know that I don't love them on water maps
@@wantin42 gotcha that makes sense
@@sierrahhofzon3878 I must correct myself: there are stragglers, so it seems at least possible to do it, if it is worth I am still a bit pessimistic about
@@wantin42 true. We can only know surely after actually deploying it in action
It would be fun if when you convert a building you could make the same units as your opponent could.
Another monk civ with special bonuses surrounding stealing enemies tech tree options would be cool, maybe with a "units being converted cannot be deleted" civ bonus
Perhaps "all techs on an existing unit available for research"
This could actually be a more historically accurate way to introduce native civilizations; native Americans would need to learn techs from an old world civ to get access to stronger units. I guess it wouldn't work so well if you had two civs with no units fighting each other though 😂
Hey T90 been enjoying all the casts from Silver and Gold up to now!!
Was wondering if there was a way to toggle some sort of water techs obtained for Capture Age in the top left and right with all the other major blacksmith and eco techs? If not I think that would be really cool to see an extra line of 5 or so for things like careening, gillnets, shipwright, etc that could be toggled on and off for water maps.
Thought about it when you mentioned Running getting careening in the Migration game and I completely didn't notice the tech coming in.
running been playing too much tiny maps lol
CaptureAge needs to update and include the normal Roman voices for the civ instead of defaulting to Britons, or they could have chosen Byzantines which would have been a closer match
s a l v e ?
I didn’t even know that you get voice lines in capture age 😅
Mandatum
Game 3: even pro players cannot resist the allure of the LEL mining camp
The first set of TTL Platinum S3 where I didn't correctly predict the score.
Fun idea: All starting villagers get marked as such so we can track their lifes througout the game.
Running started out always really well but made mistakes when the game progressed, just as if he would have difficulties to multitask and handle the complexity of the game. You really could see him making some easy avoidable mistakes.
SPOILER BLOCKER?!
I really wonder what happens if running goes to water in the 1st game after taking out the castle. He then could get a small fish boom going and get to at least 50 vills
He was already way behind in economy by then and Daut was constantly pressuring his woodlines.
Something happens.
Casters: AYEYEYEYEYYEYEYEYEYE
I always love it when those annoying fires get wrecked by the better player. Fires are lazy op annoying stuff.
This is where titans league could help running. Clearly they're a good player, but made some bad decisions and struggled to maintain eco and army. I hope playing multiple series against top players gives them the experience they need to take the next step
Running is better than that!
It's crazy to me that Running just went full clown 0 on food. You have a good position, at least make 6 farms to keep your TC producing! Edit: he goes full clown every time, it's like it's his comfort zone when he's under pressure. Why try and go full monks and UU against Vikings? With Malay? He didn't even drop a barracks. Maybe you can do that on Arena but a map like this just makes no sense.
DauT is the G.
Daut is running to the top spots
Idemo!!! Bravo DauT!!!👏
Would be an awesome idea if you could push a button so it became split screen and we see both players screens and what they are doing at that moment!
Doing this at 13:48 with monks should banned in tournaments imo. It's really cheesy and makes absolutely no sense. This part of the game would have gone completely different if he wasn't able to abuse a mechanic that no other unit could possibly do.
Game 1 eco more like weak-o.
Noobism at its finest: Villagers work gather and repair 5% faster.
Serves zero strategy, zero playability, nothing to think about or work with.
Fascinating.
Devs are doing once again, what a garbage team.
Amen
I respect you so much for always owning your island archers boo boo, mate. You're a Champ in my eyes. Wish I could have met you...
Running was literally a step away in every game. Macro beats micro.
