The gentleman spoke that the book shows life does have meaning; that’s existentialism. Existentialism is a philosophy that emphasizes individual existence, freedom and choice. IT IS THE VIEW THAT HUMANS DEFINE THEIR OWN MEANING IN LIFE, AND TRY TO MAKE RATIONAL DECISIONS DESPITE EXISTING IN AN IRRATIONAL UNIVERSE. Well, I'll give you the challenge I've given a number of christians telling me to pray. I am willing to set up an experiment that involves me praying to several different gods, including the god of the bible, to give me a physical, verifiable sign. Specifically, I will pray to the various gods to make a sigil of their religion appear on the inside of my car window, and whichever religion's symbol appears will be the true one. I will even record myself praying to these various religions as proof.
This is probably my favorite discussion out of all the years.
