    I know as factions go we are in an okay spot, but seeing our army rule feel like an afterthought while we are pressured on taking so many brigands doesn’t feel great.

    • @keyanklupacs6333
      @keyanklupacs6333 Год назад +6

      I mean you can still take Stalkers, huntsmen, the melee dogs. Three of your big knights are still competitively costed. Rampager isnt bad just not top of the top in terms of cost.

    • @snokbert2906
      @snokbert2906 Год назад +1

      I certainly can and I do. I like to have variety in my lists so 6 brigands isn't for me. And you're right, I really like the rampager for what it is. But addressing your points, when I take the other dogs, I feel like there just isn't a great point to it, from a competitive standpoint at least. Not everyone's preferred way of looking at it, I know, but I'm mostly against pretty strong armies, custodes, space marines (strong against knights at least) imperial knights etc... so that does matter to me. Karnivores cost more and the other dogs losing weapon skill and AP really hurts their consistency. And as for competitively costed big knights I'm not sure, I felt like they were competitively costed before, but, except for maybe the despoiler, I felt like the points increase was a lot more than they deserved.
      The heart of what I'm not happy with is that I struggle to find a reason to take a different model or models that isn't just 'I like it more'. That's great, but I don't feel like I have to make any strategic give and take choices in list building. @@keyanklupacs6333

    • @eo8240
      @eo8240 Год назад

      Yeah it really feels like 9th edition lite right now. That said though i feel like there's more freedom with the lists i make. I've managed to have fun games with entire big knight armies, used my tyrant almost every game and found uses for pretty much every knight in a lot of different lists. The buffs war dogs get from larger knights can make for some great combos. I'm definitely disappointed by the army rule (and battleshock in general) and the points changes but im still making the most of it. In fact the points cost in particular gave me the shits. We're paying because of Imperial Knights. The despoiler does not deserve to be that expensive. Nowhere near as powerful as people make it out to be.
      Also, Karnivores slap. Nothing more satisfying than running up to a tank and just tearing it in half in one turn.

    • @MrHoneuma
      @MrHoneuma Год назад +1

      Are we though? We're barely holding onto our 45% winrate and for this past week it was 43%. We're on the weaker end, and got punished because of Imperial Knights being too good.

      yeah they've ruined chaos knights again, luckily I only really play with a single friend so if/when j wanna play a knight or play knights I'll just undo the points nerf and not use the stupid towering rule. Needless to say I'm in a pretty happy place with 2 strong armies that I can swap allies back and forth with depending on how I feel like playing. I like running a tyrant, desecrater, 4 brigands, and 2 karnivores. Give tyrant aoc and desecrater sticky objectives. My daemons right now is belkor, bloodthirster, lord of change, shalaxi, nurgle daemon prince, and 3 brigands. The 3 characters that can take enhancements do so. I'm having a ball lol. I guess they sold out on abominants and thus gave them crap rules. Once they get them back in stock, I’m sure the points will improve

      nah tbh the reason it sucks is because volkite is just worthless lmao. if it was a plasma blast gun then I'm sure it'd actually be okay. not good, because gw refuses to let big knights ever be better than wardogs

      @@ryza7760 I was trying to make a joke, given the abominant is the new, shiny big knight, and it's been given rules that are apparently not good, so clearly they don't need to sell anymore. I don't play the game, i just like listening to auspex on my walks, he makes videos long enough that they just fade into white noise.
