Nick has said some dumb things in the past, but "Why do you need to see when you're swimming?" wins the gold medal 😂
It's not that crazy. When most people say "they can't see" without their classes, they mean properly not blackness and you can get around fine even if it is not ideal. He means why do you need to see properly with your glasses, which for many is true, not see at all.
We found another one
For a school teacher he is pretty stupid.
Was at the recording of this episode. Funniest 3 hours of my life 😂
Oh now I'm curious of the 3 hours how long did they spend filming?
This was one of the best episodes. In this same episode, John Cooper Clarke's story of reciting a poem at the wedding of two dogs in "this is my..." is just as funny.
Thanks for the comment. Nice profile pic
Jodi you’re a saint to put up with Nick sometimes.😂
❤❤
Don’t get bullied, Jodi! I wear prescription goggles when swimming - without them I can’t see a thing and can’t find my way back to the correct lounger round the pool!
That looks like a prescription lifejacket too! :D
Where were you swimming... on the set of Megalodon! That water looks so choppy, like you are way out from the coast, wow!
Thanks guys, always a lotta fun in here!
Im finally subscribed. Im not a freeloader anymore XD
Not even Jaques Cousteau would have prescription goggles . Lee and David have been doing this for so long the producers give stories they can have fun with . Alex Jones joined in nicely . The photo is a nice touch .
Theres only 1 button, the button reveals the answer that production have set up so it shows the answer because they know it's true or a lie as when the guests get to the studio they tell the production team their story (or stories) with the chance they may or may not use it for the show.
It may seem easier just to have 2 buttons and it shows the graphic based on the answer and the button you press but I think they do it like that so cuts the risk of pushing the wrong button and causing confusion and chaos.
Actually the button doesnt do a damn thing, it's just for show. It's just a big prop button connected to nothing at all. Usually whoever is putting the answer on the screen is good with timing it to their button press, but sometimes theyre off by a second or so, especailly when they do like a stalling or fakeout move before actually pressing it
@@GroovingPict that's contradictory to what both Rob and David have said during one of their live would I lie to you tours ive been to when they've been asked
I have read the buttons don’t do anything. I can’t remember where.
@@Alpha-nc3iw well you either remember that wrong or theyre lying. The buttons dont do anything. It doesnt take much WILTY watching to work that out for yourself by just how often the reveal doesnt match the button press. And also there are outtakes, and in one one of them is going "oh no, I forgot to press the button!" and the answer still came up
if you look at the timing of the presses and the screen, especially when someone is creative and surprising, it is quite obvious that the button doesn't do anything. Someone else triggers the screen message.
Maybe it's not always the case but if you look for it, you often see little gaps. And that the mysterious button is also hidden, probably for that reason.
It's not true. Because he said he was at his locker with his stuff. Which means he would have walked into the ladies locker from the start before swimming. And there is no excuse for foggy goggles then.
Had to listen back as the point you make is absolutely right but then I thought why didn’t the other team pick up on that. He says I was as the locker but I don’t think he mentions having his stuff. Either way, was always a lie
Prime banter at the start
Occasionally they play around with the answer as a joke, but they always have to reveal the real answer as well.
I bought prescription goggles because I realised I couldn't see the clock above the pool, and it was also hard to read the signs to and from the pool/changing room 😅
Button if connected only needs to trigger the reveal of an answer.
Production already knows what the answer will be to flash up on the screen.
Lee's stories are very, very seldom true.
this show is going on since 2007! they must be desperate for anythgin surprising happening in David's or Lee's life to get a (good) true story. And credit to them for not faking stuff.
And it doesn't matter because Lee selling a lie is always fun anyway.
@@Thisandthat8908 Now that comment is ... TRUE!
Speedo sells prescription goggles.
Apparently the tints matter depending if in pool or not. Or indoor/outdoor
Clearly those who questioned their existence do not need glasses.
Glasses Jodi is the best Jodi.
❤❤
There is a trick to stop a SCUBA mask from fogging up so probably will work on goggles aswell, you spit in them and rub it all on the inside part you look out of. I know this sounds like a joke or a lie, but it truly does work.
Justice for Jody
❤❤
Good morning Nick & Jodi.Could you react to Rhod Gilbert and his dead hamster 🦁
Great shout
I don't wear my glasses in the pool, but I can see blurry shapes so I can avoid bumping into people. Also if I go underwater and open my eyes, I can see clearly and in focus.
Not sure why Nick is laughing at Jodi having bad eyesight and needing prescription goggles. Also wondering how oblivious he must be to not realize that she needs and has prescription goggles.
Button. See episode with question was Lee Mack invited to (formerly Prince) Harrys wedding.
They've already done that...if they hadn't you would've just ruined it for them, so round of applause for the genius.
@@BrianMac2601 actually i only stated the subject. Wedding is past tense. I don’t reveal any.
I am genius
@thelunatick1993 it was very obvious what you meant so don't talk shit. Wedding is past tense? Of course it was, wtf you trying to talk about. You gave it away and got defencive, I like when people get defencive, they're fun to toy with. Come at me Mr Genius, I dare you lol.
@@BrianMac2601 well start to learn to read. No where did I state his attending the wedding. All I stated is there is an episode where the question is asked. Wa he invited. His receipt of the invite and wedding are both in the past. Re read what I posted genius and learn grammar
@thelunatick1993 why mention the button? Because they done the same thing. You want to talk about my grammar? OK I don't punctuat my sentences into paragraphs...
Is this better?
They way you write your sentences I'd be surprised if English was your first language, but to be fair the education system isn't what it used be.
I've got prescription lenses (-6.50) that I'll wear day and night for a month.
Without them I wouldn't recognize my best friends and family until they were within a meter...
She's definitely right
Watch; "It Ain't Half Hot Mum'..it's so un "PC' and still absolutely hilarious.
I cant see without mine either.
On a similar topic you should watch Lee’s binocular story
He gave it away, saying he found his locker first. In the women's changing room?
Surely, if you are wearing contacts, normal goggles would keep the water off them anyway?
(this is before i watch the clip)
Adorbs pic .. except for whatever underwater weapon you're clutching.
Nick the button doesn't do anything, it's not connected to anything, I have no idea why they felt the need to add that part, an outtake with Rob reading a card and then forgetting to press the button when he says if it's true clearly show that the button doesn't really do anything(the video of the outtake was blocked unfortunately).
Oh he is annoying isn’t he Jodie lol
Never
This was rather topical , now you’d lose your leisure centre membership for complaining about a man in a woman’s changing area.
In fact there is a very early episode removed from iPlayer where the guest story centered on him dancing with a woman who was in fact a man.
ruclips.net/video/GR5U85eo4yQ/видео.htmlsi=eCMPVHj-tamiR718
But have you got a prescription windscreen?
With respect, does this guy know how high he’s punching?
Of course
Just don’t let her know that 😊
Ah, come on, one's either blind or a liar to not see that's a handsome man
Never trust a man who wears a cap indoors.
Silly rule
You just have to say 'I identify as a woman' these days and the ladies aren't allowed to kick you out of their changing rooms...
