    Literally nothing is a once size fits all. I’ve done healthy deficits, strength trained, healed from trauma for almost 10 years on a somatic level and the food noise WOULD NOT GO AWAY. I feel free being on this medication. I have faced so much more of my life on these meds. I dont use food to escape anymore. I feel my feelings and face everything as they come now. Wish people would know nothing is a one size fits all.

      @@millriverfarm You're right, but its extremely difficult to fight something that your hormones, your body, is screaming at you and its all your mind can think about as you try to push through and it never really goes away. I liken it to Interstellar where the guy is screaming at himself to never leave for the mission. You know that voice is back there and you're completely trapped from stopping yourself. Something like GLP-1s help fight that screaming/yearning where you don't drone yourself into executing the bad habit. Essentially it can give that freedom from the hormones. It's not something we should expect everyone to understand and that's okay. Not one body is the exact same as the next, if we're looking for a healthier society and this is the way to help free them from that, then why not? ya know.

    • @LE-gs9mo
      @LE-gs9mo 20 дней назад +2

      Capitalism is an economic system where private individuals or organizations own and control their means of production, and prices are determined by the supply and demand in a free market, where people get to choose what they want to invest in. The main features of capitalism are the motivation, space, and ability to make a profit (and provide jobs, depending on how large your business is) = that system, in of itself, doesn't suck.
      What has sucked, does suck, and will suck for all time is GREED. It is the heartless, ruthless, merciless, and ravenous nature of mankind's GREED + PRIDE/ARROGANCE in that GREED that has and will hurt all of us, in all of human history and in the days to come. God, help us all. 😓🙏🌎🕊️

    I've been on Mounjaro for just over 7 months and have lost over 101lb so far! It has literally changed my life after being extremely obese for decades. I've never been able to manage my hunger and cravings. This has been the tool I've needed to kill that food noise, stop the cravings for junk and get my body and bloods under control :-)

    It's interesting. Our bodies are hardwired from eons of being hunter gathers to eat as more than is required to get us between our modern feeding sessions, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fasting can mimic that(I've been doing that for 5 years now), but perhaps these new drugs break that deep drive to eat more than is needed.

      I have a friend that takes Ozempic and has lost over 40kg in the past year. I have lost around 20kg (I didn't need to lose as much) through fasting, diet and exercise, mostly walking an hour a day. I take vitamin supplements for general health and nothing else.
      My friend does zero exercise and has developed drooping jowls from it. The drug works, and I do think it's a miracle drug of sorts. But there's a price you pay by taking shortcuts and not adopting a healthy lifestyle in conjunction with it. I look younger, fitter, healthier. Whereas my friend looks older, and more frail. The difference is unbelievable.

      It’s not a “choice” for many. That’s the point. Self-discipline and will power are partially genetic. “Food noise” Is when those patients think about food every second, every minute, like an addiction, and it’s even worse than alcoholism and substance dependence because you can’t totally eliminate food from your life unlike those alcohol and controlled medication. Also, alcoholism is partially genetic which has long been established in medical research. Food noise and obesity are exacerbated in first world countries without a robust public transportation and heavy dependence on car driving, like the USA, compared to Japan, France, Spain, etc..
