Great review! Personal preference is a hard thing to judge. I have a Vaughn pro elite... And most people hate it. I on the other hand love it... With minor changes. Thicker aftermarket cage make the whole mask so much stronger but keeps the comfort. I've had about 30 head shots from bad to crazy good players and never even stopped the play. Can't wait to see more of your stuff in the future.
I know this comment is 2 years too late. But what did you think of the chin cup? My brand new Warwick i hate the chin cup adjustment. The chin cup strap itself is not adjustable. I have to adjust a separate 2nd strap below it that supports the chin cup which I think is stupid. So I'm looking to maybe swap the ccm chin cup because the adjustment looks decent based on photos.

I have not played in it since mid November. I checked up on it about a month ago and the foam was still falling a part and some of the hardware was getting super loose. I decided to sell a lot of my things to get a 960 a few weeks ago.

I’ve been wanting to make my own mask that’s custom fit to my head. I have purchased the materials to make the head cast, and found the resources for foam and Kevlar. My NME 10 fits eh, and the ringing is dreadful when I take a good shot to the head. I wonder if any of the big companies offer custom fitted masks.

I just got the 960XMP but I haven’t used it on the ice yet. It is definitely heavier than the axis but the visibility and fit for my head is better for sure.
I wear the sport mask that quick uses. It's been the best mask I've ever owned. Every now and then I still get a bell ringer though. Only from guys that have cannons.
Good review, and I wouldn’t want to spend that kind of money and be disappointed. Have you considered the Warrior R/F1 pro mask, I know I’m looking at it and is less 💰 than the other brands.
Yeah my problem was I needed a mask really badly so I got the GFL before the warrior came out. Was hoping to give warrior too but I really needed to buy the mask.

I noticed the fit has totally changed with the axis. Like the cage is SO far away from the nose now.
Yeah it’s crazy how far away my face is from t cage. Still have to get used to it

I believe there’s a company called pros choice or something like that and they make a lot of custom masks for NHL goalies.

I think I’ll be making the switch back to Bauer 4 months into owning the mask. Won’t be buying CCM masks again.
