Nikola Opacic it's pretty difficult learning the techniques, but once you have it and you know your sound. It's just like regular singing. Always warm up, drink lots of water. And oddly enough don't scream to loud or hard. Let the mic do its job and make you louder.
Dakota Rhoades, thats interesting. I have seen a lot of screamers in the studio like Mike Hranica that are pretty dang loud when they scream. I can see what you're saying though, not to push yourself too hard
I have experienced that those kind of vocals are live more powerful than in the studio. And I bet that it is a lot harder to perform a full set than recording.
In an interview Jon has said that the band looks so stiff playing live because they try recreating the music perfectly on stage and have to sacrifice movement.

Breaking Light i saw dance gavin dance in santa cruz and andrew sang the whole set for sainvar and he did freaken amazing. I even heard from one the of guitarist of sainvar that he rememberd all the songs an hour before the show. Dudes a powerful vocalist.
It's supposed to be about how a guy is really sad and lonely and uses substance to give his life meaning, despite wanting to be able to be happy without them.
I'm sad that their tour dates are postponed. Their concerts look like the absolute best experience to have so I'm contempt in waiting, although, still sad.

They must have put in some insane work to get their voices to that point. This sounded incredible. Seriously inspiring singers here.
