I remember this building, in around 2010 I was on holiday in Denmark and visited Copenhagen. It's a very large department store. In the Netherlands a lot of smaller department stores closed due to competition from e-commerce. Only a few large luxery ones like the "BIjenkorf" still exist, which is similar to Magasin du Nord.
Apart from this store, I've also visited the well known ILLUM along the shopping street as well as the more smaller Illums Bolighus not far from there. Sadly both stores have all their historic 1960s Rheinstahl Eggers Kehrhahn escalators modernized; ILLUM's had theirs modernized by ThyssenKrupp while Illums Bolighus's had theirs modernized by a German company called Geyssel. I remember visiting De Bijenkorf in Amsterdam when I was on holiday in the Netherlands in mid 2010, and I almost got stuck in one of the OTIS customer elevators due to the doors almost refused to close until someone else slided the door shut. Not sure if they've been modernized again or not now. Forgot what kind of escalators in there. The same issue also happened here in Indonesia. Many well known deparment stores that served the low to middle class like Matahari have closed down due to e-commerce and this has been worsen since the pandemic hit the country. The only really old department store still in business is Sarinah, which have been operating since the 1960s and it's where the first escalator in Indonesia still exist.
So it's basically the same case as Mall Taman Anggrek's elevators? Some low-budget owners would think that they could have just installed an additional elevator beside the old one (same case as Pasar Pagi Asemka, where one is cheaply modded and the other is properly modded). Frankly the indicators remind me of Changi Airport's T1 and T2 elevators.
Congratulations 👏👏👏👏👏👏 on 10k
