I think the issue is that you're used to 12mm with unconventionally large irises! Most eyes have irises that are 1/2 the size of the eye, so 14mm would have 7, 12 would have 6, etc etc. Personally, I love the smaller irises, so the 12mm look so much more proportional for Jess, at least to me xD I wish Mako would do smaller eyes 😞 Most of my dolls are 12mm or below.
Victoria snowcat not that odd, some eyes go from over 50 :) it just depends what kind of eyes you want. If you are happy with acrylic eyes, that works fine with you!
Mako eyes are really pretty💗😭 Even if I want to collect a lot of it, it's hard to move the company abroad to get it. And I don't know English very well, but I understood it because you have good pronunciation. I'm using a translator, so it can be written strangely.💦

All the eyes looks so beautiful I love #8 and #3 the most 💙💙 I have mako eyes in 12mm and yes I see the different it's looks a bit smaller than the other companies but they work very nicely on my dolls 👍🏻❤️
They're not really paying for quality that's just cuz they have very little competition between brands. Kinda like drones, you're literally paying for the brand cuz the cost of making it is so so so far off from what they charge people.
Depends what look you’re going for cause the smaller eyes looked really good on Jess. More natural. But if you like that really big eye look then yeah it’s not your thing.
I have some of the Mako Iberis brown eyes for my girl and just adore them. I'm actually thrilled to hear about the 12mm eyes running oddly small, since Mako doesn't sell 10mm eyes (according to their website) and I was bemoaning the fact that couldn't get the right size for her. I purchased ED eyes instead and liked them pretty well but the color isn't exactly what I wanted.
The brown ones are absolutely beautiful! 😍 Definitely be getting a few from the Company. . .especially at only $25. Both them and Mako eyes sells them so cheaply. 😊

There are a few reasons why you might want to by some instead of making them yourself. First these are definitely much more detailed and polished than the ones I handmade, so if you are a perfectionist and want the best that the world has to offer and don't mind paying for it, then you might find it worth it. Secondly many don't feel comfortable to make their own eyes, so buying premade and just get it done with, can be faster and easier. Thirdly it is to support an artisan and its specialized skill, they charge more because these are done by hand and many take weeks to be manually produced, I am happy to pay as much and even more if I know that they are being properly compensated and are able to put food on their table and pay bills. But the beauty of this hobby is that you can find all sorts of eyes for all kinds of budget so you ca certainly find eyes for as cheap as $2 :)

Denay nope! They always come in pairs and “each” refers to one pair (two eyes)
