I love how these videos not only show teachers about the technical side of the platforms, but also often include really practical ideas too. I like ideas 4 and 5 the most in terms of interactivity and the opportunity for follow up work. However, they're all great.
Great ideas and I especially like 4 and 5 because there are follow up activities. I reckon you would want to develop similar follow up activities for 1, 2 and 3 . For example for 3, listen to someone's recording and say what you were doing that year, or asking a follow-up question.
Yes you could. This is why Padlet is great. Have a look at this Playlist, plenty of tools and ideas there:ruclips.net/p/PLqYj2sOxDkVwuqkOF7IKBRXYZg1hTdDBP
Thank you for those brilliant ideas. I've tried 5 (Discussions) in two classes and it worked well with the online lessons. Thanks a lot! Can't wait to try other ideas later.
Thanks Russell for these excellent speaking ideas. I very much like number 1 and 5. I prepare students for Cambridge exams where they have to describe/compare pictures. Number 1 will be an excellent way to practice.
Thanks, Russell. I recognised that coastline before you said it. It was above Lynmouth on the North Devon coast, wasn't it? I live in Devon and have enjoyed walking there, too. We're very fortunate to have two lovely but very different coastlines! Keep sharing your ideas please; they're really valuable and enjoyable CPD for language teachers like me!
Yes it was Dave! Some amazing places down there. I will share my ideas and keep you notifying about them in my Newsletter: forms.aweber.com/form/61/763053361.htm
Zengengo sounds like a good alternative to Edmodo. Does it allow the teacher to contact students via a built in messenger ? Also, does it have the ability to differentiate their learning? What about polls?

I think there is a basic message system but I don't use it. You can do all sorts of polls. Chris you could set up activiies for varying levels
Can you create but student should connect?
