This soundtrack really sounds like a villain’s theme which Cid can be considered as a villain in the series. It doesn’t have heroic melodies but instead dramatic and melancholic.

Sometimes I wonder what if Cid really was the side character he wanted to be and Shadow was just some mysterious antihero and TEIS was told from like Iris or alexia or maybe even Claires pov
That's an interesting idea, like an unknown legend that is only known by those who have been close to Cid and we're told bits and pieces of this person that has always been powerful and yet chose to remain in the shadows. Like the reports Beta has written down and the people who have been close to Cid slowly realize his capabilities.

imagine cid being a souls boss, or elden ring boss
successful interruptions lead to him scolding you for ruining his fun as you spam attack him.
unsuccessful ones lead to one hit deaths,
and no attempts to interrupt lead to him delaying his next attack for a few seconds as you get back up if you survived.
early level players that get one hit killed because they found him are penalized, and he doesn't show up until you come back hours later.
penalties include 10% stronger damage received or when fighting bosses, you lose control of your character as they attack the boss in anger. (temporarily i mean)
Don't forget a change of dialogue for cid like when he's serious or not that would be annoying to fight against😂😂

lol just realized that if you add a fill meter (you dont see it obviously) for every interaction you have with cid in any map, it triggers a count if you run away from cid, disappoint him, or anger him, and once filled he uses atomic and kills everything in the map including you@@muraren2437
