Exploring the Famous Montalban River 📍Montalban Rizal

Wawa Dam, also known as Montalban Dam, is a gravity
dam constructed over the Marikina River in the
municipality of Rodriguez, Rizal, Philippines. The slightly arched dam is situated in the 360-metre high Montalban Gorge or Wawa Gorge, a water gap in the Sierra Madre Mountains, east of Manila.
It is the largest water supply dam to be built in over 50 years next to the Angat Dam. The President said the Upper Wawa Dam will foster climate resilience among Filipinos by protecting communities downstream from flooding and by mitigating the detrimental effects of drought.
