There's a fun documentary about the making of this song that you should check out! Chris Martin did go to Korea during COVID to work on the song, but they didn't film the video together. I just saw Coldplay this weekend and they actually use video of BTS from this video on their big screens during their verses, it's pretty cool!
BTS and Coldplay had incredible chemistry with one another. You can tell both bands love the music and work hard performing. One of the best collaboration. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜⭕️♾️❤️
When they recorded the song, South Korea was still on a very strict lockdown. Chris Martin had to get special permission to travel and quarantine just to spend two days with the band. There's also a cool moment in the making of the song documentary where BTS let Chris hear a bit of Butter, which was at that point not yet released.
"The Silencers" are the antagonists from Mylo Xyloto, a comic book created by Coldplay in 2011 for their 5th album. The Silencers are against all color and music, so they could represent Racisms, Covid, borders, or anything else that keep people apart. BTS, Coldplay, Supernova7 (alien band) & DJ Lafrique unite to fight against them! Love the word play at the end "WE ARE ALLONE (alone) IN THE UNIVERSE". is actually "WE ARE ALL ONE IN THE UNIVERSE". That sounds like classic RM word-play to me. My opinion. Supernova7 could represent ARMY & Coldplay fans. They could also represent diversity. That's just how I see it.
you should definitely check out the documentary of them making this song, chris went to korea to personally work with them on the song (i'm pretty sure he was in quarantine by himself for 14 days as soon as he arrived, i'm not sure what the restrictions were at the time) and their chemistry was just immediate, the boys even said he gave them hope again at a time where everything seemed so bleak and hopeless because of covid 😭chris even gave jin his favorite guitar, their friendship is just so wholesome
You have reacted to AMAs performance before, During the AMAs performance, the voices of the ARMYs in the hall were too loud, so the voices of the two groups were not clear during the performance. I mean the ARMY's voice was loud so the AMAs played the voice and it happened to the vocals.... Everyone knows that both groups did a great job on the live version.
As i've said before this song is so beautiful that it makes me both smile and cry at the same time but now I've seen the MV I'm crying again it's so beautifully filmed and made I'm just in love with it and hearing those harmonies again especially Jimin with RM and Chris Martin with JK it's so beautiful. So one word to describe the entire song and MV is beautiful as it remind me just how much the lads miss us and how much we miss them.
The scliencer or enemy ship that said "shut it down" was shaped as a coronavirus cell. Covid scilened our music and we weren't able to attend concerts. Everything was virtual, and we tried to connect all around the world from home.
I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with the kids show called Bubble Guppies, but they have an episode with this concept that came out in 2015. "When the evil robot Major Bummer tries to eliminate music from the galaxy, Captain Gil, Princess Molly and the Guppies must restore peace, harmony and melody."
I am glad you dig this song now. It is so cool, to my mind, that these two groups came together with their similar messages. It is sweet and hopeful. The behind the scenes video is worth a look. Very touching. Details, as with all BTS videos, are important. The first that hit me is the viewing window of the "DJ" is heart shaped. The end message, that we are all one in the universe is also extremely touching. All the feels going on here.
At the time Chris Martin was trying to bring forth different music from all cultures he also did collaboration from someone from Africa I believe it was Nigeria and there was a couple of other countries that he chose to do to spotlight the differences in music but song got a lot bigger than what he expected because he didn't realize how big to get was and I think that he grew to appreciate them over the course of interacting with them I do not believe that he was army going yet I think that he thought that they were just a Korean band that was popular but I do fully believe that after interacting with them that he became a fan
My Universe is a very interesting song because it's just as much a BTS song as it is a Coldplay song, despite technically being a Coldplay song (it was part of their most recent album - Music of the Spheres). It merges the styles of both bands into something that doesn't feel out of place with the discographies of either group.
The video was done separately I believe- but the recording was done in person. I do love the song and the message. There is a documentary done during Covid. Chris Martin flew to S. Korea to record with BTS , hope u guys check it out. This song went #1 on Billboard hot 100.
It’s such a good song and collab. They really seem to have become good friends and take any opportunity to hang out if they are in the same city. The MV is a trip but fun and different from anything else I’d seen BTS do m
Finally, I have been telling you on every "My universe" video you reacted, that you should react to the actual MV. Because some of the videos you reacted were either of a poor quality from a fancam or with an over-excited audience that interfered the sound. You should always start with the higher quality performance and then search for life versions with a bit of quality just to make justice to them work. Even fans should never send links of videos they do not make justice to the artist, please no offense it is my honest opinión it is called artist protection.
This collab was great and it's so cool how they have become friends and got to hang out in DC when BTS visited the White House. Looking forward to the making of BTS's scenes in the MV but I hope you also check out the making of the song, it's such an interesting glimpse into their process, in this case with them as featured artists on a Coldplay song, but it's something, considering how much content they produce and how little we get to see of them in the studio while recording.

🔴 YET TO COME the new BTS song will premier June 10, 2022 (12AM KST) at HYBE LABELS Channel 💜 🔴 BTS PROOF LIVE! 9PM KST/8AM ET @ BANGTAN TV CHANNEL ON JUNE 13, 2022 (also BTS 9th Year Anniversary!)
I agree, the audio/mix quality on the live versions has not been great. As others have commented & left the link, I think you would be interested in watching the making of video and would love to see you react to it. Thanks for another BTS reaction, always look forward to more. Take care. :)
I think it wasn't as easy as just doing COVID-tests to film together when they're living in complete different continents. I believe Chris Martin actually visited Korea at some point while working on the song, but generally this was a time where there were restrictions for travel, and those changed constantly. one day you couldn't go somewhere at all, the next day it would be just fine, the day after that you're unable to go back home unless you quarantine for two weeks. also other idols/celebs got major critisism for travelling during the pandemic, even if it was work related, and obviously they'd be elevating their own risk of catching the virus and possibly long covid as a result.
Hi Guys….There you are, I guess I checked to early this morning and became concerned because I didn’t see you. I hate to bring this up, but, do you have the next chapter {10}?? Rise of Bangtan? 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Lol for me I still don't feel this song, even the MV was a little too chaotic, too much going on so hard to follow. I feel like this song didn't embrace just how much talent both bands posses.

I love the documentary about the making of My Universe! It's so good 😊
You HAVE to do the documentary narrated by Chris Martin. He is definitely ARMY!💜
Fun fact: Hobi flirting with the alien chick had ARMY going crazy and generated tons of memes.
We were all jealous of that alien for sure! 🤣

As a BTS fan and a Coldplay fan, this was my all time fave collab that BTS has done! Love this song
