Trolling Blade no i have both moto g 2nd gen in white and black the black one looks great because it gives us a feeling of high end phones which it doesnt gives on white piece.............
You probably do the best reviews! I like how in depth you go into the phone around m settings and features! I hate when I'm trying to find a review and the videos are all 5 to 8 minutes long and it's basically a review of the phones hardware! I want to see settings how it preforms opening apps how it performs while your using it! Great work! Plus your a Michigan man! I'm from garden city! Keep up the great work!
Phillip Turinsky Thanks Phillip, I appreciate that. This is why the channel was born, I wanted more than I was getting on RUclips at the time and I figured others did as well so I gave it a shot :)
By the way, Mike, my Moto G 2nd Gen - which arrived directly from Motorola today - has a black body and arrived with a white charger and matching non-detachable white cord.
It's 5th of February 2024 I actually heard "Moves like jagger" song on the radio just a few minutes ago and suddenly came this to my mind.. This was my first ever smartphone, I was over the moon at the time I got this as a gift from my mother.. This phone + Google play music could stole my heart... I feel very sorry about kids these days who are born with smartphones on their hands all the time.. And smart phones have gone too far by now but seeing these make my love for those old phones more than the newer ones..❤🥺
Thanks Mike for another wonderful review, for the money, it is a home run , I was blown away by the video you took with the phone, it looked very nice. Thanks again for posting the video.
Excellent video again! Been watching all your videos. But can you review the ace 3? I know is late and there's a ace 4. I will appreciate it alot! Thanks!
Hi, Mike- Do you happen to know if either this phone or the Moto X allow screen mirroring to a smart tv? And, also, are either phones compatible for downloading the VUDU App from Google Play store? Thx! Jeff
Also I'm excited to see your don't xperia z3 review and your moto x 2014 review! I'm debating between the z3 the moto x and the nexus 6 when it comes! So I'm waiting for that nexus 6 to do drop and then I'll make my decision, of course after I watch your review!
Just thought I'd give my impressions on this phone. My LG G2 suddenly started restarting itself constantly and I wasn't up for an upgrade so I needed something until next June. Picked up the Moto G 2nd gen from Best Buy. Here are my impressions: This phone will handle a few screens with various weather, Google Keep, and assorted widgets. The phone works fine with these multiple screens. In addition, I've installed all the major social networking apps, media players like youtube & netflix, Quickoffice, banking apps, etc. It works just fine with these apps. One quirk I did find that when hitting the home button and if you only have one home screen, it tries to jump to a phantom second screen. This lag issue went away when I added a second screen for my widgets. All in all, I'm very happy for the phone I got with the money I paid. It will handle all my work duties, driving uber, and social media just fine. It's not a super high end phone but it WILL do all the basics we've become accustomed to readily and without complaint.
You have an ability for good reviews and a good taste in music (since you liked one of my favorite Metallica songs in this review) Keep up the good work!
Awesome review dude ( as always ), keep up the good work, I might actually get this one because it has everything I need and it is a great phone if it gets lollipop
On 7:32, You said that you couldn't use the Ok google voice command on the Home Screen. I just wanted to inform you that you can simply load the Google app and go to the setting, while look through the setting you should be able to find it. But other than that great review!!!
Does the new Moto X review and unboxing will be coming soon? And I thought it wasn't teuw stereo, because the upper speaker was just for phone calls, so it only has on speaker used for the other studf at the bottom.
Just ordered a global gsm model as that's all that was in stock, I steer clear of t mobile which may be a problematic being that it's not LTE. I have the current moto g and love it. Personally though the increase screen size is right up my alley. Perfect phone for me, plus getting a guaranteed update to android L is awesome.
I made the switch from iOS to Android this year (2015), and I am glad I did..... But when I had started to look at phones I noticed two things, 1) They were a little spendy, and 2) they felt like they were very complicated. One of the nice things about iOS is it's simplicity, but that is also its biggest draw back..... So while I was doing research and watching videos on different phones I found this phone. The Moto G 2nd gen. It was literally perfect, not overly complicated, but not tied down like an iPhone..... So knowing I needed a SIM card, I went to my carrier to get a SIM card which they just gave me. they added all my account info to it and made it active. Once the Moto G 2nd gen arrived from Amazon ($159.99 shipped) I installed the SIM card, powered up the phone and let it do it's thing. Then I used an app called "Smart Switch" to transfere all my contacts, videos, pics, and non iTunes music over to my new Moto G from my iPhone. The whole process took about an hour. Now, let me tell you, this Moto G may be a "budget" phone, but it kicks the iPhone in the teeth! And now my wife, she too has seen the light and ditched her iPhone for this phone. I bought the black version, she bought the white version. If anyone out there is thinking about making the switch from iOS and Android phones like the Samsung Galaxy line or the Note 3/4, HTC's, or LG phones seem too expensive or overly complicated or intimidating, or just seem like they are just too much and you will never use all the phones capability, just buy this phone from Amazon, and do what I did. I LOVE THIS PHONE!
Hi there, I just purchased one of these phones and in the box it had a wall charger with detachable USB cable plus a set of ear bud type ear phones, so maybe they spec them slightly different for different countries? I'm from NZ.
To be honest I rather take the first generation. Same battery same processor but smaller screen with 4g -->power saving and fast browsing. The one thing the new version impressed me the most is the front facing speaker and thats..all. for a budget phone the first gen still rocks. Just suggestion yo.
1st gen has better screen resolution & 4g. 2nd gen has bigger screen & better speakers. I'd go with the first gen because of the smaller size and better display. My 2 cents.
Seems like a great phone, I'm thinking of getting it come Christmas, but is there anything that beats it in this price, or slightly higher? Was initially considering iPhone 5c, but the price is just too much for what it is.
Update 2015: Had the Moto for a few weeks, until it began randomly losing signal. Needless to say I returned it, and bought an LG G3 S. It's a similar price and works perfectly
You are absolutely clear in your audio but including subtitles also adds to the quality of the videos you make...Anyway I hope to see your next video soon!
dat sensor doe.
Always great stuff from you, Mike!
Thanks Dom! And yea, at least this isn't a White Moto X ;)
Yep, that's why I didn't get the white version (and because white phones tend to get dirty)
Rodrigo Ramirez they both get dirty, but its just more visible on the white one :)
Trolling Blade no i have both moto g 2nd gen in white and black the black one looks great because it gives us a feeling of high end phones which it doesnt gives on white piece.............
Mehul Mistry u dont get what i said back there, do u?

Hi, Mike- Do you happen to know if either this phone or the Moto X allow screen mirroring to a smart tv? And, also, are either phones compatible for downloading the VUDU App from Google Play store? Thx! Jeff
clear and best review ....seen many reviewing but this is perfect for me

Phillip Turinsky I have so much to review, it's insane. The Note 4 is also somewhere in the pipeline for me, depends on when I can get one.
***** Note Edge, Z3 compact, Nexus 6, HTC Volantis (Nexus 9?), and an Ara phone, if the two latter gets released soon.
Nexus 6.
Very nicely done! Very informative and clear. Thank you.
Really helpful review Mike! I have the Moto G (1st Gen.) but the (2nd Gen.) looks better, i may get it. Keep up the good work!

Miguel Carbajal Thank You, working on that as we speak :)
You have an ability for good reviews and a good taste in music (since you liked one of my favorite Metallica songs in this review)

LOL, I must have missed that one big time.

This is the best review i have ever seen .
"you can also record video, you can pause the recording, resume recording" That must be some new technology hahahaha
Hey mike, your video quality is bright and your review is awesome. But can you start reviewing other brands like xiaomi, huawei?
On 7:32, You said that you couldn't use the Ok google voice command on the Home Screen. I just wanted to inform you that you can simply load the Google app and go to the setting, while look through the setting you should be able to find it. But other than that great review!!!
Amazing review Mike.
Thanks to your amazing reviewi am picking one up as my work phone. Keep up the great work.
Nice video Mike
But are YA gonna do any more Apple videos?! Plz let me know!
When you said OK google, my google now came up on my moto g, lol
Can you please do a video on a bamboo white 2014 Moto X ?
I'd love to...but I already have this black one. I'm not a fan of the white bezel on the Moto X, although that would have made a good video too.
Does the new Moto X review and unboxing will be coming soon? And I thought it wasn't teuw stereo, because the upper speaker was just for phone calls, so it only has on speaker used for the other studf at the bottom.
nice description, really helpfull..:)
Nice review, good job!
That follow me feature is sick
How is the battery life compared to the previous Moto G 4G?
Awesome! You're from Detroit! I live in a sub of Detroit. :) Pure Michigan
Thanks for the clear review. Not everybody needs, or can afford a $500+ phone.

Can you please do a review over the z3 (Compact) !! Great videos btw!! Keep it up!
Thanks for the review! Do you know where I can buy the Dual SIM one if I am in the US?
Nice review Mike. I might consider buying this phone even without LTE.

hey mike i have a question what kind of phone youre using?
Just ordered a global gsm model as that's all that was in stock, I steer clear of t mobile which may be a problematic being that it's not LTE. I have the current moto g and love it. Personally though the increase screen size is right up my alley. Perfect phone for me, plus getting a guaranteed update to android L is awesome.
When you said ok Google you launched Google now on my phone. Lol

This is a slick little device. Def worth the money.
Best reviews going please when the note 4 comes out could u do a review on it
Great review as always.. can you review ASUS ZENFONE 5 ?
Great video, I'm thinking on buying a Moto G for my next phone.
I know you review a lot of phones but still, you've got to savor the peeling off of the plastic you can't just yank it off like that!

lol detroit borg keeping that screen cover on hahha
The best budget phone on the market.... Thumbs up
3:50 - Total space 551GB? There's definitely a decimal point in there. I'd pop an annotation there for those not too savvy on storage amounts.
love that garden in the video...
Please come back soon I want a good review of the iPhone 6
Thank you so much I knew you'd come through for me!!!
My pleasure, thanks for watching. Got many requests for this one.
your yard is beautiful in the fall
I live in India. Do you get earphones in the box in India or there too u have to get your own?
Awsum sir you always bang it!!!
Thanks. Excellent Review.
Does it have a removable battery? If not, I'm not interested
Hi, is the phone has a bluetooth and nfc settings ? :D
Bluetooth yes, NFC no.
Hi there, I just purchased one of these phones and in the box it had a wall charger with detachable USB cable plus a set of ear bud type ear phones, so maybe they spec them slightly different for different countries? I'm from NZ.
so in canada, this phone costs $250. do you think it's still worth it to get this phone?
On 3/1/2016, I just got the official Marshmallow OTA update. Sweet!
So, should I get this 2nd gen model, or wait for the 3rd generation Moto G?
Well, I'm tight on money, and don't like Apple.
To be honest I rather take the first generation. Same battery same processor but smaller screen with 4g -->power saving and fast browsing. The one thing the new version impressed me the most is the front facing speaker and thats..all. for a budget phone the first gen still rocks. Just suggestion yo.

Does the first gen have micro SD slot?
Connor Bright The 4g LTE edition of the first generation DOES have a microSD slot.
Mike, is this phone compatible with the Moto 360 watch? Thank you in advance.
Yes it is! :)
I'm thinking of buying this phone but is there any way u can click a classic iphone like camera button instead of simply clicking the screen
It will be better to add subtitles in the video..anyway keep up the good job!
jia soon len Am I hard to understand?
***** not at all Mike! You are very clear and detailed. Subtitled will take longer and will just take up screen real-estate. Not necessary
You are absolutely clear in your audio but including subtitles also adds to the quality of the videos you make...Anyway I hope to see your next video soon!
excellent review .. iwant one
Amazing Review!
Does it have a good front camera?
