  • EDA stands for exploratory data analysis. It is an approach to analyzing and understanding data that involves visually exploring and summarizing the main characteristics of a dataset. The goal of EDA is to gain insights and identify patterns, relationships, and anomalies in the data that may be useful for further analysis. EDA typically involves a combination of graphical and statistical techniques, including scatter plots, histograms, box plots, and summary statistics, among others. The insights gained from EDA can inform the selection of appropriate modeling techniques and the design of subsequent data analysis procedures. EDA is a critical step in any data analysis project and can help ensure that the data is properly understood and prepared for further analysis.

Hi Vaishu.. When you are finding mean, you should make sure to remove outliers.. For example, if the data set contains [1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1,5] the mean will be 3. If the same dataset has one more value .. let us say [1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1,5, 100], the mean changes to 11.82. Here 100 is outlier.. This should be removed before you find mean. If you have outliers, better use median than mean.
      Hope this answers your question.
