For perspective, imagine If someone like swara Bhaskar did what kangana did instead. This was a long comment lol but I'm trying to show you how we as a society today in India get polarized on societal issues like this and the underlying hypocrisy of it. I feel the best thing we should do when dealing with issues like these (or for any issue for that matter in life lol) is to just listen and see what people's arguments/evidences from both sides (emphasis on both sides) and not jump to preconceived notions or conclusions till we've listened to both points of view. and even if you do come to a strong conlcusion after doing all ur research, don't just contain it but talk with the side you disagree with about it.

First of all, it was the 150th anniversery of Mahatma Gandhi, not of other freedom fighters.
So it obviously makes sense to talk about him.
Besides, the whole event was to celebrate Gandhi Ji's thoughts, his perspective on life and people, his words of wisdom, which gave the entire world a direction.
Secondly, do you think such meet and greet events not happen with IAS officers, soldiers and other people. How else do you think they would have celebrated the 149 years of anniversery before lmao.
And last, the purpose of inviting people from entertainment industry was to encourage them to influence people in a positive way. The only reason we watched this video was because there were film and tv stars present there. The reason we heard those 7-8 sentences in the end was because of the people who were reading them out.
That's how powerful influential people are.
Talk in the comments whatever you are, but I bet you wouldn't have come here if it was just a regular event with IAS officers and other govt people.
Anyway, the entertainment business does play a major role in shaping generation. Besides, they were making a short film I guess. Hence the film people.
