The panels look great!! Its a fresh look. I'm right there with you as far as little mistakes along the way, its a given you just don't ever see them coming lol
Thank you so much! We're glad you like them, we do too! It's been long enough now that we don't even notice the mistakes. We just live here and it's perfect!
How did the fabric work out, perhaps as compared to a more heavy duty tweed? I love the look, but concerned about durability or subtleties I'm not familiar with. Thank you and nice work!
Sure! The adhesive is 3M Super 90: www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40069424/ And the foam is landau foam. There are many sources and thicknesses for the foam, but landau is the keyword you need. Hope that helps!
How’s that foam performing? Curious how cold the walls feel after a night around freezing. Tbh we never put insulation on our flares. Its fineeeee I guess but def blazing hot to touch or ice cold depending on the environment. We did tongue and groove and it’s the last project we need to complete to finish the interior 😅 ooooops
We really only had the flares unfinished for a short time in mild weather when we weren't really living inside the van. So, it's hard to say how MUCH insulating the foam is actually doing. It's definitely the least insulated part of the whole van, but we couldn't really sacrifice much width for thicker insulation. It probably helps SOME, but not a lot. If it's too hot inside, we recommended opening a window by your head to let cooler air be drawn in by your fan if you've got one. Have that be the only fresh air opening. It will cool you off dramatically. If it's too cold inside, bundle up! We double up on blankets in the winter and wrap them underneath our feet. On exceptionally cold nights, we use a heating pad inside the blanket-burrito to warm up our feet.
Glad you liked the video! The trim clips came from Amazon; I believe they're a GM part. Same push pin style as what's used everywhere on the gmt800 pickups.
like the way your not afraid to show your mistakes!! Well played👏👏👏
We try not to mess up too much, but we aren't ashamed to be human!
Good Job, Looks great!!
Beautiful result in the end, trimming behind the wall looks much better!
Thanks! We agree, it came out so good! We love it.
Great job. Love the tropical print ❣
Thanks! We love it too!

The fabric has held up exceptionally well. There have been no issues with it at all. It's easy to clean, too.
can you please provide link of the correct adhesive you used the second time and also link for the better quality foam 🙏… thank you 🚐

great video!! Where did you get the black plastic pieces to attach the panels to the doors? Thanks!

@@OutofIpswich thank you! I’ll try and find them there.
Where did you buy your flares/panel from?
The flares and trim rings came from Flarespace. The wall panels we made ourselves with 1/4" plywood, fabric, and 1/4" foam.
Dog day afternoon. Lol
