Rising Storm 2 is incredible. Loads of fun and the RO game modes and mechanics are more interesting than any battlefield title in my opinion. Oh and the dev communication and patches are insane. New factions, maps, and other features that I don't have to spend a dime on. Check it out. Its cheap and one of my BF die hard fan friends have pretty much abandoned Bf for RS2...at least until EA lets dice get their shit straight.

We had an amazing online community for battlefield 3. Our best guy was #74 in the world. I was something in the #4,000s but we felt like elite gamers. BF2: Special Forces Expansion Pack was fucking amazeballz. The gadgets, the maps, new factions were soo much fun. Shame you didn't mention moddability of BF2, we had so many amazing mods of this game, obviously the biggest one being Project Reality, whose community is so tight, despite EA pulling the plug on BF2 servers, they managed to keep the mod alive.
Absolutely. I was disappointed that Jack missed mentioning it. Special Forces was brilliant. I didn't an Internet connection to play BF2 online, so was stuck with playing with bots. SF really expanded the game for me.

Jlcdevens I agree, but you remember about cod (I'm talking about IW mostly). By the time Us fans were starting to hate the futuristic stuff, infinity ward was already very deep into development. you forgot to mention the Road To Rome and Secret Weapons Of The Luftwaffe expansions for BF1942 original. great vid too. BF1942 was my go to game for many years. Forgotten Hope mods and Forgotten Honor clan games were amazing.
I miss the artillery and other tactical elements from BF2. Was really great how important the commander used to be, and the ability to sabotage their tactical tools

Bf 1942 had two really great expansions; Road to Rome, and Secret Weapons of WW2. Bf2 was actually spawned largely from a mod for 1942 called Desert Combat. I wish they could've stuck to their original premise for how they make games.

I played the beta for BF1 and its very well done. You might be surprised. But I hope a BF WWII game is next. It really needs to be redone. The COD ones don't count.
BF2 was originally designed so that the map size would automatically scale, so that say you had a 64 player server with only 15 players, you would play the 16 player version of the map until more players joined. This feature was scrapped prior to release.
To this day I still havent found a game thats quite like BF3.. All the features, massive maps, vehicles you could just freely get into and choosing how you fight and what your role on the battlefield was was just amazing. Really strong candidate for my favorite game of all time

Rafa makes Viking boats I understand it's opinion but if you fail to see that BF4 is just a copy pasted BF3 with imbalanced weapons and explosives then you need to learn some history and compare it to all the other games. B3 BF4 and BF:H are all VERY similar, when you compare them to BFBC2 or BF2 and you will see how they stopped evolving the games. I have no idea how someone would want a whole nother game just like it. We need a different era modern is being milked way to hard right now.
I bought Battlefield 4 in 2016, played it, and loved it. I still play it with my friend, it's one of the most fun games we've played. But unfortunately, this is the only one I've played. I grew up not even knowing what Battlefield was. I grew up with franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Call Of Duty, mainly. I have played hundreds of games until now, but I never got to play the Battlefield franchise at it's whole. I'm glad you made a video like this, for people like me to get to know the franchise a little better.

just looking at BF1942...the map scale just looks massive compared to newer versions. Seem to progressively gotten smaller and smaller. Maybe me... but looking at these clips, battleships, aircraft carriers, planes tanks, half tracks, submarines, artillery tanks... all in one map... whenever did we see this scale of battle... I miss it. Yes graphics don't compare but even now it still looks like a war game rather than a quick skirmish.

Jlcdevens I agree, but you remember about cod (I'm talking about IW mostly). By the time Us fans were starting to hate the futuristic stuff, infinity ward was already very deep into development. So basically there was no chance at them being able to scrap the game. I believe the next cod will be back in the 1900's

I miss the artillery and other tactical elements from BF2. Was really great how important the commander used to be, and the ability to sabotage their tactical tools

Bf 1942 had two really great expansions; Road to Rome, and Secret Weapons of WW2. Bf2 was actually spawned largely from a mod for 1942 called Desert Combat. I wish they could've stuck to their original premise for how they make games.

BF2 was originally designed so that the map size would automatically scale, so that say you had a 64 player server with only 15 players, you would play the 16 player version of the map until more players joined. This feature was scrapped prior to release.
To this day I still havent found a game thats quite like BF3.. All the features, massive maps, vehicles you could just freely get into and choosing how you fight and what your role on the battlefield was was just amazing. Really strong candidate for my favorite game of all time
Battlefield 2 was the best for me, probably because I put the most hours into it but also because the team play in it was the best. So many great memories.
In terms of vehicles, classes, maps, teamplay, allover fun experience BF2 was the best hands down.
Not to mention the numerous rankings, and several awards such as ribbons, medals etc
I just began playing BF2 after about 1-2 years. Back in 2018 I made a comedic video called ''the 5 most annoying things in Bf2'' that includes the legendary grenade spam and radio spam (enemy spotted/falloujah delardeh). In the last few days I got nostalgic of the game....until I began playing and got the Vietnam PTSD flashbacks ^^
2 years later and there were 2 amazing battlefield games that came out with ultimate grafix

Rafa makes Viking boats I understand it's opinion but if you fail to see that BF4 is just a copy pasted BF3 with imbalanced weapons and explosives then you need to learn some history and compare it to all the other games. B3 BF4 and BF:H are all VERY similar, when you compare them to BFBC2 or BF2 and you will see how they stopped evolving the games. I have no idea how someone would want a whole nother game just like it. We need a different era modern is being milked way to hard right now.

I bought Battlefield 4 in 2016, played it, and loved it. I still play it with my friend, it's one of the most fun games we've played. But unfortunately, this is the only one I've played. I grew up not even knowing what Battlefield was. I grew up with franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Call Of Duty, mainly. I have played hundreds of games until now, but I never got to play the Battlefield franchise at it's whole. I'm glad you made a video like this, for people like me to get to know the franchise a little better.

I remember playing battlefield 1942 with my grampa I was always medic
just looking at BF1942...the map scale just looks massive compared to newer versions. Seem to progressively gotten smaller and smaller. Maybe me... but looking at these clips, battleships, aircraft carriers, planes tanks, half tracks, submarines, artillery tanks... all in one map... whenever did we see this scale of battle... I miss it. Yes graphics don't compare but even now it still looks like a war game rather than a quick skirmish.
I watch it every year and it feels like I'm watching it for the first time!

Hunter Broadley 1942 was a pc game and the sequel 1943 only came out for consoles which is wierd seeing that the 1st came out on pc only
BC1 wasn meant as a console exclusive, but became so popular that DICE eventually released BFBC2 on all platforms.
