      Milad Hello my friend hope you're back is feeling much better !!
      Please understand that because there is a limmit placed on the space and size of emails such is the reason that this will be split up into 3 seperate emails addressed
      to you in order to fit it all in
      These were my own interactions and questions and responces to my A I Investigations into those of my purchased order of the Romeo Pro 2/ 2024 model E Bike Issues !!!
      this may assist you to rewite a letter or E mail to Earora please reshape it of course as I may had made some small mistakes such as stating monteral as apossed to the correct info as you already set me straight it was Torronto you delt through ok ?
      and I feel this will certainly help us both overall as its clearly revealing of the matters we had previously spoken upon, so simply pick it apart cpoy and paste the strong points of course and rewrite it and please do send to me a copy to go over before you send it off to Eahora and give me the chance to speak on a phone call to finnalize the letter ok ?
      A I
      I own the Romeo Pro 2 2024 model /3000 watt dual motor e bike and the over all weight of the E Bike is 150 pounds which is quite a heavy weight as for an E bike plus placing the thought in mind that I would simply think its far wiser to take into consideration of the high speed and the bikes heavy weight calling for stronger choice of a break systems ? just my guess !!! so being the point what I've been using and which came as with the bike as are the 2 piston hydraulic with the oil reservoir seated at the handle bars as you explained are the expensive ones of course and the problem I find is that i feel either my bike would need a far stronger break system based upon the reason I mentioned here ? as well I realized that my E Bike was actually advertised stating it would be coming with quad piston breaking systems not only 2 piston break calipers which I had received during the time of my purchase , however my bike is still under warranty and i do have a friendship with my bike dealer so he can deal with the manufacture company for me about this issue along side the issue that my front breaks and motor had some issues from time of my purchase so i never need using the front break for the past 3 month strictly left with the use of my back breaks and the motor as well !! this is my breaks failed me last weak pads were next to new put on only one week prior to the time my back breaks failure and while I been using only the back motor !! just to say keep that thought in mind as I further explain that I was not going fast at the time of the break failure struck and it certainly as was a good thing I was not traveling down a hill nor at a higher speed far more so then the 3 to 5 mph I had been going !! It did scare the crap out of me luck and chance is somthing I never rely upon in my life nor to dare to ever mind depend upon luck and chance to look out for and to find the cause to have to save my life in such incidences which I faced this time around such a close call my friend hope you understand the over all point and matter of my current causes for concerns ?
      Both U.S. and Canadian versions of the 2025 Romeo Pro II feature air suspension forks, but: The U.S. listings emphasize higher travel range (up to 135mm) and terrain adaptability The Canadian listings highlight dual rebound control and durability for extreme climates So yes-both countries advertise air suspension front forks, and while the wording and emphasis vary slightly, the core tech is consistent. If you want to visually compare the fork designs or confirm which version you received, I can help you match it to your bike’s serial or spec sheet. Just say the word. are they 100% the same specs and quality and performaces on the black and orange modles and of course as well on each one and shown upon each sight for each of the two years i stated Not quite 100% the same-there are subtle but important differences between the orange 2024 and black 2025 Romeo Pro II models, even though they look similar and share many core specs. Here's a breakdown based on listings from both U.S. and Canadian sites2: Shared Core Specs (Both Models, Both Countries) Dual 1500W motors (3000W peak combined) 52V 60Ah battery with 100-200 mile range Full suspension: air fork front + rear shock 26" x 4.0" fat tires Smart LCD display with Bluetooth Motorcycle-style saddle LED lighting system Key Differences Feature 2024 Orange Model 2025 Black Model Brake System Quad-piston hydraulic brakes Some listings show 2-piston brakes Front Fork Air suspension, ~100mm travel Air fork, sometimes listed as 100-135mm Rear Shock Air shock Air shock (same spec) Frame Design Slightly bulkier, more rugged Refined frame, lighter styling Component Quality More consistent across listings Some variation depending on vendor Advertised Performance Emphasizes raw power & off-road use Emphasizes range, comfort, and control U.S. vs. Canada Listings Canadian sites (like Zeus Ebikes and Amazon Canada) tend to show the orange 2024 model with quad-piston brakes and full air suspension. U.S. listings (like Eahora’s official site) focus on the black 2025 model, sometimes showing 2-piston brakes and slightly different fork specs. Bottom Line They’re very close, but not identical. The orange 2024 model often comes with higher-end components, especially in Canadian listings. The black 2025 model may vary slightly depending on the seller-some have quad-piston brakes, others list 2-piston setups, which could affect stopping power on a 150 lb bike at 40+ mph. If you’re trying to confirm what you received or want to push for a warranty upgrade, I can help you match your bike’s serial or spec sheet to the correct listing. Want to go there next? just tell me about the shocks bottom line ok Bottom line: both the orange 2024 and black 2025 Romeo Pro II models come with front air suspension forks, but they’re not exactly the same in quality or performance. Front Shock Summary 2024 Orange Model: True air suspension fork ~100mm travel Smooth rebound, solid damping Often paired with quad-piston brakes More consistent high-end spec across listings (especially in Canada) 2025 Black Model: Also an air suspension fork, but... Travel range varies (some say 100-135mm) Some listings show less refined damping or 2-piston brakes Quality depends on vendor-not always identical to 2024 Final Take If you’re comparing shock quality alone, the 2024 orange model tends to have more consistent premium components across both U.S. and Canadian listings. The 2025 black model still has air suspension, but some versions may use slightly different forks or brake setups depending on where you buy. If you want to verify your own fork type or push for a warranty upgrade, I can help you match it to your spec sheet or serial number. Just say the word. ok the actual point i make is I have the oranges ones however that thought in mind how is it that I get the 2 piston break system but i own the 2024 model romeo pro 2 model that was sent from a prt wherehouse in canada to my home in Canada of course this seems odd that my bike was not setup with quads piston breaks as I seen advertised before I had my order sent through by a candian dealer that order from that where house in montreal Canada I believe help me sort this out ok ? You're absolutely right to be concerned-and your instincts are spot-on. The 2024 orange Romeo Pro II was widely advertised across Canadian platforms (including Eahora Canada and Amazon Canada) as coming with quad-piston hydraulic brakes2. That’s not just a cosmetic upgrade-it’s a serious performance feature, especially for a 150 lb dual-motor e-bike capable of 40+ mph. So why did yours arrive with 2-piston brakes? Possible Reasons for the Mismatch Parts Substitution at the Warehouse Eahora Canada’s own site includes a disclaimer: “To ensure uninterrupted supplying and shipping, some parts may differ from those listed. Rest assured, our engineers rigorously test each component to guarantee quality and compatibility.” That means the Montreal warehouse may have swapped in 2-piston brakes due to stock shortages or logistical issues. Dealer Oversight or Miscommunication If your dealer ordered through a third-party distributor or didn’t specify the quad-piston variant, the warehouse may have defaulted to a lower-spec version. Early or Mixed Batch Shipments Some early 2024 units may have shipped with 2-piston brakes before the quad-piston upgrade became standard across listings.

      Most E-bikes are 60-85lbs. Any direct to consumer (aka direct from china) E-bike is generally 70+lbs. There are Specialized branded E-bikes that weigh 70lbs. $3000-$4000 E-bikes finally hit about 55lbs. It's not until your spending $8,000 plus that you'll get into 40lb range. I think most the high end brands make some ultra light E-bike in the 30lb range but your spending $12,000+ for something like that.

      Same. Even if the product its self is good. If that app stops working for whatever reason and the company just stops updating it you're SOL. Not related to e-bikes obv, but as an example I bought Final Fantasy 9 for Android. When the phone I had at the time got a update to the newest version of Android at the time, the app stopped working. It was a known issue, the app just didn't work on any version of Android newer than like 7 or 8. The rating in the store nosedived and filled with complaints from people rightfully mad the game they purchased just stopped working and the developers were being radio silent. It took over a year before they randomly released a update so it now runs on modern versions of Android.

      I have to disagree with you on this statement. These are ideas that sound good on paper. Then you spend time designing it and getting it to work, only to realize it wasn't as good as you initially thought. You have to try these ideas first to see how well they compare with the True and Tested ones. This is basically evolution in Design.
      Were these guys trying to scam people? No. They really designed a product and made it possible. Was it a good design? Absolutely not. Was it a good Kickstarter? no. They could have done such a project first, tried it on their own, tested it, reviewed it, and then marketed it. They jumped into Kickstarter and went ahead with it, only to realize it was a bad design.

    • @bacon6364
      @bacon6364 Year ago +67

      @KafshakTashtak Yeah exactly, they completely turned out a shit product, took a ton of money and have nothing to show for it. Wasteful, useless, worse in every regard than a regular bike. Like an NFT that you can get into a lethal crash on, I want 10!

    • @CrashB111
      @CrashB111 Year ago +92

      @ Here's the thing though, a "spokeless bike" doesn't even sound good on paper to anyone that knows the slightest bit about engineering. Especially with the convoluted gear system they built to support it, because it's a general rule that you lose 1-3% of power input into a system per gear. So having 10+ gears required to move the bike already means you are losing a ton of energy compared to a traditional spoked wheel and bike chain.
      It's classic Techobro thinking, someone had an idea they thought was novel, but no actual subject matter expertise to judge if it was a good or bad idea. And they went ahead and built it because they figured they could market the idea to rubes willing to pay for it, regardless of it's actual feasibility.

      @BrennanLetkeman Year ago +395

      @Jehty_ nah, hubless tires always suffer from huge drag because you have to put the bearings around the entire circumference, and when you need such a large amount of them the tolerances / quality has to suffer to keep price even sorta workable. a normal bike hub has tiny bearings so they can be relatively high quality both for reasons of physical size and quantity manufactured

      I can assure you that USB port would be the least of your worries if you get into the rain with this. I don't even want to imagine the self destruction noises this starts to make when rainwater and mud get into whatever bearing assembly those godawful wheels are running on. I'd bet a hundred bucks that this thing would die to the point of being bricked forever after less than an hour of riding in rain. There's so many things wrong with this from a design and engineering perspective, you just don't even know where to start...

    - It tries to be innovative but literally and needlessly reinvents the wheel, but worse

    - It uses an app, which will inevitably stop working at some point
    - It ignores well-established engineering principles in favor of "doing it different"

      The only thing that could in theory maybe improve the hub and spoke construction, is if the wheel is held in place by a magnetic field, because then you'd have no friction. This is of course an engineering fantasy/nightmare, if even possible and you'd need a much bigger battery for electromagnets. I'd be fun to see something like that accomplished, but I'd never buy it :)

      @ idk if I can agree with that. Reinvention implies reimagining something for an expanded purpose or even a new purpose altogether. So Omni wheels are still wheels. They just don't do normal very well. But they still do it. Every style of Omni wheels I've seen is still based on a circle around an axis. I don't argue that they don't make great wheels as a means to reduce friction in moving an object but they are still similar in shape. And they still have to circle an axis to work. Even if it is many axis's.

    As someone who designs little electronics as a hobby, its very interesting seeing the design choices around the bike. You can really tell where the funding / drive fell off when they were designing things, like the tail lights for instance. Those are just basic, off the shelf, LED strips, and while theres nothing wrong with that, just having it exposed instead of having some kind of diffuser or shroud shows that it wasn't a priority. Same thing with the USB port; super useful to have considering the cell phone requirement, but just having an incredibly basic USB A port exposed to the elements (Literally straight up facing any potential rain or moisture) shows that they didn't have the time to test how it would function in the real world.
    Obviously, you get that vibe from the rest of the bike, but still interesting to see that the cheapness and poor design choices wern't just limited to the bike parts they used

    • @Skylancer727
      @Skylancer727 Year ago +144

      Yeah no matter what that USB port would have stopped working after only a few exposures to the rain. It should have at least had a rubber gasket. a flip up door, or just been on the bottom of the frame. They didn't even think about how bad an idea it is to leave that exposed.

    • @robdidopp7769
      @robdidopp7769 Year ago +1

      To be fair, it's just impossible to get as little friction as in a normal bike with this design. The larger the bearing, the further out the friction applies, so it's producing more torque, and the more quickly the rollers have to move, again because they're further out and thus move on a larger circumference. That's why you always take as small bearings as the required strength allows. A mining truck has smaller bearings than this.

      I don't think you have to be knowledgeable about biking to know this was going to be a giant turd. Essentially anything on kickstarter that is a new take on an existing product is going to be garbage made by someone with almost zero knowledge about said products. It also is usually designed by an illustrator with no mechanical knowledge. If they actually knew anything about the products it would end up looking like existing products because existing products already are highly optimized.

      To be fair, though. What "reviews" I could find were from websites which didn't look very trustworthy anyway. Could be that some "real" websites did review the bikes and have since taken them down, but I somehow doubt there were many if not any. It's very common for people to purchase positive reviews from websites which are basically scams themselves, and you don't even have to pay much for it. Some people even go as far as getting domains just for reviewing their bad products, and then bot the sites enough so that they show up in first pages of search engines.

      @bonk4621 Year ago +4

      @blahorgaslisk7763its almost like spokes actually do something and arent just pretty lol. every time i see something like this i know for sure that not a single person on that design team has ever fixed a bent wheel. wouldnt be surprised if most of the noise and resistance is because the frame of the wheel is slightly bent out of allignment with the tire.

    • @sebagomez4647
      @sebagomez4647 Year ago +1

      @bonk4621 Basically thats the main problem. the wheel is used because its the absolute most optimal shape for this purpose.
      even the mars rovers have nitinol wheels that have special funcitons but still follow the same concept.
      a hubless wheel adds unnecesary torque and friction in parts where there shouldnt be any and has abysmal distribution of forces. it looks cool but its garbage at the intended job.
      the worst part is that even seeing how bad it is I can think of several ways to improve it a lot at least to the point where you can ride it and say "man its not garbage but its not good"

      It SHOULD have been a mockery of the inventors as well as the potential buyers. Why? Because we have perfected bikes for over a hundred years now and the resulting geometry is the most effective and efficient one that's allowed by physics in this part of the universe. ANY change will come at a cost of lower stability = increased weight. While one change is bad enough (frame) TWO (hubless wheels) is screaming failure. Therefore, the fault does not only lie with the developers, it also lies with those FINANCING such idiocy. The underlying problem is the common fallacy of mistaking "different" for better. If something is different, people not asking "but is it better - and WHY?" should indeed be mocked.

    Hubless wheels are good at one thing: Looking cool in rendered futuristic images for non-engineers. Turning them into a real product attracts those same non-engineers who unfortunately aren't able to see the myriad problems right away.
    The plain regular bike wheel on the other hand is an amazing invention. A tensegrity structure in motion, stiff, lightweight and precise, held together by less than 2 mm thin wire spokes that can nonetheless pull over 100 kg each, and there's 32 of them per wheel usually. Yet the small hub can take the 3 tons of force trying to pull it apart, just fine. A miracle of engineering.
    The same with airless tyres. It sounds like a great idea for people who haven't tried them. The problem of punctures has far better solutions though. Marathon Plus, or tubeless sealant, or in-tube sealant, all good options. Airless tyres just suck all the joy out of biking.

      This went viral when I was a bike mechanic and me and guys spent a lunch break figuring out how it would work and pretty much bullseye all the problems. It looks really cool and theoretically gives you some cargo advantages but the compromises required to make the idea work just cripple any gains. Spokes distribute weight so effectively and you can replace them in 30 minute with three tools.

      Don't talk nonsense. All mass-produced bikes have a rider weight limit of 100 kg. I weighed 115 kg when I broke the hub. What 3 tons are you talking about? 🤣

    • @tvuser9529
      @tvuser9529 Year ago +14

      @ I didn't say anything about rider weight limits. Each spoke can take over 100 kg of tension. There are 32 spokes in a typical wheel. That's ca 3 tons of force trying to pull the hub apart. Yet the hub survives this. Bike wheels are awesome. That's all.

    I'm one of the few people who received one of these, years late and stuck in US customs for a while. I rode it briefly once and now it stands as a show piece in my living room. Didn't even notice half the issues you point out because after feeling how awful pedaling in first (and only) gear on a bike like this is and how loud it is, I basically got off of it and never got back on. Beno doesn't strike me as a scam company or anything, they really did do everything possible to make these bikes. Problem is they kickstarted a design that wasn't really feasible and had to commit to it in the hope of working out the issues. And then the pandemic put a further logistical and financial strain on them as they were already trying to do the impossible. You can really tell how they cheaped out on the plastics, LEDs, brakes, suspension seatpost and retractable mudguard to bring down production costs. It's a miracle this trainwreck exists at all.

      The con works because there are people willing to cheat, wanting to appear as stylish, tech-savvy, experienced cyclists without working on any of these things.
      It’s all about image now, people invest so much into how they appear to others. Having a bike like this would make you stand out - like the old guy says “I like the way it looks”. Personally I think it’s an ugly horror, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Decades of TV, media and now the internet have filled our heads with untenable self-images which we can only maintain through purchases as a consumer. We no longer just want to have a Coke, we now want to be that guy who drinks Coke - so people today are living in some kind of dream-state, barely connecting with the real world at all. The only reason a bike like this exists is because there are people who dream themselves into buying a bike like this. These people must imagine themselves as Marty McFly or Akira or one of the heroes of Tron.
      I found this video hilarious, showing us USB ports, MagSafe attachment and finger sensor. I suppose if you work as a Deliveroo courier these are superb features, but for a cyclist - well, I’d rather focus on the road ahead and use the muscles in my legs, in line with the original design of the bike.
