    Recipes :
    Bread Milk Cake
    Preparation Time: 10 minutes
    Cooking Time: 15 minutes
    Serves: 3-4
    Ingredients:
    5 Bread
    1/4 cup Milk powder
    1/2 cup Sugar
    300 ml Milk
    2 tbsp Ghee
    Method:
    Grind the bread to make a fine crumb.
    Heat ghee in a pan and roast the crumbs till it is golden.
    Remove the crumbs from the pan.
    Add ¼ cup sugar to the pan and caramelize the sugar. Add the milk and cook till all the sugar is dissolved.
    Add in the remaining sugar and mix well. Add the roasted bread crumbs and mix well till all mixture comes together like a ball.
    Remove to a square greased dish and press down. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove, from dish and cut into pieces. Garnish as desired and serve.
    Bread Gulab Jamun
    Preparation Time: 10 minutes
    Cooking Time: 15 minutes
    Serves: 3-4
    Ingredients:
    10 bread slices
    ½ cup milk
    1 ½ cup sugar
    1 ½ cup milk
    ½ tsp cardamom powder
    2 tbsp ghee
    Oil to fry
    Method:
    Prepare the syrup. Put the sugar, water and the cardamom pods in a pan and bring to a boil.
    Simmer the syrup for 7-8 minutes. Remove from heat. Keep warm.
    Remove the side crusts of the bread slices. Grind the bread slices in a mixer grinder to make fine bread crumbs. Add the milk to the bread and mix to a soft dough. Do not over knead. You may add more milk if required.
    Mix all the ingredients for the filling with a little milk.
    Divide the dough into 12 equal sized balls.
    Stuff each ball with a little stuffing and roll into a smooth ball. Fry the balls in medium hot oil till golden brown.
    Add the balls to warm syrup and let it soak for some time. Serve warm.
    Bread and Butter Pudding
    Preparation Time: 10 minutes
    Cooking Time: 15 minutes
    Serves: 3-4
    Ingredients:
    50g butter, plus extra for greasing
    7 bread slices
    50g raisins
    2tsp cinnamon powder
    350ml whole milk
    2eggs
    25g granulated sugar
    ¼ tsp grated Nutmeg
    Method:
    Grease a square pie dish with butter.
    Spread each slice with one side butter.
    Arrange a layer of bread, buttered side up,in the bottom of the dish, then add
    raisins. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon, nutmeg, and repeat.
    Finish with a layer of bread, then set aside.
    Gently warm the milk. Add the eggs, sugar and whisk to dissolve the sugar.
    Pour the mixture over the prepared bread layers and sprinkle with nutmeg and the
    remaining sugar and leave to stand for 30 minutes.
    Preheat the oven to 180C.
    Place the dish into the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes , or until the custard has set and the top is golden- brown.
