Girl I agree with you! the price is at some of the thrift stores here in Michigan are ridiculous. I understand they're trying to make money so that they can help those in need, but typically the people who go to thrift stores are also in need. Thank you for doing a thrift store shop. I agree!! Way to expensive for used purses and shoes... I about fainted when that stained up dooney was like 50 bucks dang I can go buy a brand new or lightly used Dooney on posh for that!! Smh shame on them..

I go to the Goodwill once a month to look for dresses and I have found some really good dresses for a couple years now.
I found the cutest red Michael Kors wedges brand new for $20 at my Goodwill this week. My entire closet is from Goodwill. 🤣

All the goodwills have been going up in price and it’s ridiculous. I worked at goodwill and I will not donate there anymore. I shop there maybe once a year now. They are very very greedy and it’s sad. I got in trouble for giving a homeless man a pair of socks.
A former manager at one of the GW I used to frequet, told me that GW has multiply Ebay / Etsy accounts where they sell the good stuff they get in (and over priced as well). Its darn shame when a "thrift" store sells at department store prices.

This was fun! I love a Goodwill shop-stop! I grew up in a divorced home the youngest of 5, and the goodwill is where mom bought our clothes, but it was much better than all the worn out hand-me-downs! 😊 As a child I had to except it , but as an adult l now enjoy it! 😊 lol..

It's a special boutique Goodwill, not a regular one. Sometimes they have a separate store, sometimes a separate section within a store.

Ridiculous prices. Goodwill used to be about selling items and using the money for those who need help. Now they want to make sure they are getting the highest price possible even if that means items sit there for weeks, stuff piles up in the back and they have to have dumpsters to throw away perfectly good things because they are not turning over the merchandise. They are mad about resellers and have forgotten their mission. I no longer donate to them, I donate to the smaller charities exclusively.

Waaahhhh!! Non- essential shops haven’t been open since just after Christmas here in the UK 🇬🇧 and I miss them. The supermarkets aren’t open but that’s about it really. So, I’m happy that you ate going shopping for me. Thank you!! 💕💫

Yeah for used stuff donated its pretty expensive. You can find brand new clearance for less at Wal-Mart.
Most of the prices I saw are too much for people on Social Security or part time min wage. Would have to go to yard sales on weekends instead. I know I sell my clothes from $1 -$3. Sometimes 75 cents.

Wow, I could not believe some of the prices! I loved those skirts though. I actually retired and found out I can use my cotton or rayon skirts for tanktop tunics! Cutest look ever. Try it, you all. You just take a nice work skirt and convert it into a tank top. It lays so nice. I now go to Goodwill and get cute skirts for tops. I swear its a great look with a shrug or light sweater.

Some goodwills have caught on to which brands are worth more and started pricing them higher. When I first started thrifting i could find designer brands for $1- $8. Crazy how things are now....
They haven't "caught on to which brands are worth more"...most EVERYONE knows a name/designer brand when they see it....they have caught on to the fact people are coming in, "thrifting" with the sole purpose of reselling online at a higher price....in essence, they cut out the resellers.....hahaha!
@@valeriesorensen981 Well someone is making the decision to price designer brands higher than regular items. So I say they have "caught on" to the fact that they are receiving those items and pricing them because they know they are designer. They are for profit. They receive so many free donations and items from people and they price it high for profit. It's ridiculous to begin with. I was thrifting before it became popular and also before they started increasing their prices.

The goodwill here in utah. Don't know how to price the good or expensive brands. Also the independent thrift stores. I'm a retail Specialist and working at the dept stores as a vendor I learn a lot . The ones here are not as great as CA. When they got here in utah I was happy. Due to our economy is hard to find great deals. .. Blessings.
