In-context parametric designing is the best practice however I was told and I know that it creates a havoc in PDM Works. Do not know how to tackle it. Freeze all external ref. before Check-In? We have a lot and lot of designers who come from a miserable Auto-Cad background and who can't think any other way than the electronic drafting board called Auto-Cad. They'll forcefully ask you to build a part outside the assembly and bring it in and edit!!!! Losing the purpose. Then their parts misfire and they don't know why.
