The summer was terrible indeed also spring , and that's Europe.... I didn't even no garden this year I cover my beds with cuttings of my hegs and leaves. Also to tired to do a garden because I was fighting a cancer but I'm better ow cancer is probably cured . It's good that you still have a fall- garden ... nice produce .I never have see a runner beans like this big . Have a nice day
Nice to see you back! I tried your potatoes in woodchip for the 1st & 2nd earlies with mixed results because of the relentless assault from the slugs, but even if the harvest wasn't the best the bed has a lovely mulch on it now 👍
Great yo see you back in the Garden Mothin. Looks like you've had a few problems this season. The weather everywhere has been pretty bad this year. We've been going through the Monsoon season this year but added to that we've had Cyclones to contend with. I live in Mae Sai in N.Thailand and the town has been devastated by floods, as has Chiang Rai City, just south of us. Our land was flooded, killing off many plants, but luckily the house was just above the flood levels. Thousands of people have not been so lucky and have lost homes, businesses and crops. Thai people, like Bengalis, are resilient though, and they will bounce back! 12:02
Great to get an update. We had similar issues with the winter squash lots of leaf but only one or two fruits set. Loved the joy of digging up those King Edwards. How were the chips?
Cut back the squash plants a little bit. Don't let them get any longer. You can eat the leaves, have a go at it. When the plant thinks it is going to die it puts off fruits. It is true for conifers. I bet it is the same for the squash.
I'm going to attempt to overwinter all my chillies and pepper plants, as I've only had a handful of the former this year and NONE of the latter. Hoping to then get a headstart with them next year
Never grown squash but did it grow too many leaves and need cutting back for more flowers? Permanent potato bed? Tried that, blight every time and wet weather made it worse. How about swapping squash and potato beds? Anyhow only got a small balcony now so lots of envy! Love the videos and the enthusiasm. Hope the chips were good and next time cook them with cumin and paprika.- cannae beat it!
I understand you very busy, but an idea if you want to get more videos out, something I need to understand more and learn to do is collect seed- I know that now is a good time but most if not all of my garden is done. So can’t save anything but if you could do videos on how too- so like I have now learnt to leave a few in the plant of beans to then get seed to save. But didn’t know this till after we had everything off the plant. Just an idea. And I know it would be helpful to a lot of people. You say just leave them to flower but how do you get the seed- this is where a video would show not just say. Sorry if it’s not your thing but it’s an idea I had x
MashaAllah Thank you so much for sharing , Excellent channel for home gardening .
Glad to see you back. 2024 has definitely been very challenging so far.
Nice potato for Malvern.

Lovely to see you back. Now I must get on to snipping the tops of my tomatoes. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm love the fact you grow spuds in wood chip I'm definitely going to give it a try rather than buckets enjoy your chips lol

I put some of mine on the south facing window sill and they continue fruiting all winter.
I got no winter squash this year. Brassicas seem to have performed well, like you I got a good haul but not all I wanted.
