For some time now, I had this idea for a story about a bakugan style franchise where humans are partnered with Beastbox robots, but recently I don't know with what Dio model to pair up the main protagonist with. On one hand, the first Dio and his 1.5 upgrade are considered as the mascots of beastbox, but on the other hand, Dio 2.0 (or Mega Dio for short) is a much cooler model, and there are already plenty of franchises where the main protagonist has a small partner, like Ash with Pikachu, or in Dinosaur King, where Max has Chomp, where the latter can grow from a small to a full size triceratops when the situation calls for it. I think that giving the protagonist a bigger partner to begin with will be a refreshing change...
My first transformers toy was Maximal Prime from Beast Wars. At only 6 years old i followed the long instructions to transform the toy between beast and robot and it was just the best thing. Now these toys are easy to change and bland in design, needless to say just watching this made me feel like I was 6 again.
