It's why he was the #1 pick in 2014. But Wiggins mentally doesn't see himself as that guy. Every once in a blue moon, you can get a really good game out of him. But most of the time, this is the kind of Wiggins you get. He is honestly a HUGE disappointment. He's never going to be a #1 probably not even a #2 on a championship team. And you really can't expect that to change when an athlete is in year 10 of their career.
couldn’t watch the game as i was at work but was checking stats constantly and didn’t understand why moody wasn’t playing more when klay didn’t score once. asked my roommate if Moody got injured but he said he “played like ass” (but he’s a kings fan). glad to see this to catch up with my warriors. Honestly, kerr and klay need to go. as much as i loved watching klay growing up, he hasn’t been the same post injuries. And kerr not subbing moody in when klay was struggling shows volumes to his coaching mentality. He doesn’t make adjustments, he lets his history with the core blind his judgement. Moody should have been playing more given he was actually hitting shots and was one of the top 3 scorers on the team but no, kerr lets klay play most the game. i genuinely believe he just kept klay in because he knew it was his last game as a warrior and wanted to let him have his chance and a full game for his farewell. If that wasn’t the case and klay stays, kerr is just a more accomplished doc rivers, carried by an amazing team but unable to make adjustments when his team isn’t stacked.
Depends on why the player is missing shots. The threat and gravity Klay still has behind the arc is pivotal to tons of Warriors offense; you can't bail on your offensive sets just because shots aren't falling. That said, there were other reasons why Klay should have been benched.
@@Banned4Life at this point i don’t see him as a threat like i used to. every game i have been able to see this year, klay is taking bad shots and/or missing easy ones. I can’t tell you how many times i’ve felt more confident watching CP3, Kuminga, or even dray take a shot than Klay. yes he heated up late in the season, but clearly it wasn’t enough. imo klay only has gravity and spacing based on historical precedent but after another year of this teams won’t treat him like they used to.
@crazyturkturk1733 Oh I agree with that completely. Klay was sliding on the past and the thought of a threat heater. It still enabled a ton of offense for the dubs because of their constant off-ball actions, but that will be in the rear view mirror pretty firmly now. That said, he could be an absolute bargain steal for someone given how he's viewed now. Employ him in a spot up role and don't ask him to play good defense anymore, and he could be a lethal addition.
@@Banned4Life yeah i agree he could help other teams, or even us on a reduced role if he would accept a dramatically smaller contract so that we could use the money on an asset that can do more right now. But as a second option, sadly he just can’t hold up anymore

Nobody will pay him more than minimal contract and I hope he respects himself enough to retire instead of trying to scrape few more millions at all costs.
The idea of Klay retiring because of his legacy is kinda insane to me, I know players care about it but it would be insane for a player that wants to keep playing to retire because his “””legacy”””” would be favored that way.
I was bartending while sorta watching these games, thanks for uploading this so I could fill in the blanks. It’s not likely, but, Klay could ring-chase next season.
THANK YOUUUUU! At this point I want to trade Moses Moody because the dude is a valuable player and my team just acts like it can do whatever just cause they won a few chips.
Kerr definitely messed up by sitting Moses for sure. I was so confused when I saw Klay come in the last quarter, he obviously wasn’t doing ANYTHING for the Warriors offensively and defensively… so why have him on the floor? Not a smart move at all and he cost them the game by ruining the momentum that the warriors were having when Klay was sat down.
I honestly blame kerr for the warriors L. He did not make any adjustments in the game. He had a full season of watching klay have inconsistent performances with his game being bad more often than not. moody, at one point, had scored 16 points in 13 minutes and was playing decent defense while being impactful on the boards, but no. dude decides to keep klay in and play him 30+ minutes. it's one thing if this was a one-game sample of klay being bad, but the dude playing poorly for majority of the season. sure, klay started playing better at the end of the season, but15-20 minutes of bad plays, and kerr should have favored playing moody for the rest of the game. kerr valued his personal relationship with the warriors trio too much that his decision-making was compromised the entire season. EDIT: next season should feature both kuminga and moody in the starting lineup, and the Ws need to get a second star to play with steph or get a bigger star and allow steph to step into a secondary star role. additionally, draymond also looked washed on defense. he was not impactful at all as the primary help defender, which made the choice to put TJD on barnes questionable since barnes' shooting actually eliminated the warriors' only real rim protection.
Warriors team was just so poorly constructed. Frankly they have too many overpaid players. Klay, CP3, and Wiggins all underperformed horrendously. If Klay comes back it has to be cheap, but generally speaking the time the old core has being dominant is over. Frankly unless they can get another star somehow we’ll be lucky to see curry get to the 2nd round again
Klay will mostly test free agency and will get a decent deal from someone like Orlando who’s rumored to pursue him. I doubt he’ll retire I think he has a smidge left in the tank
I think, the Pelicans sneakily lost that on purpose without making it too obvious. As you said BI didn't play in the 4th quarter and Zion didn't play in the clutch, because his left leg is "sore".
Looks like last season without us realizing we have witnessed the end of an era. The best GSW can do now is prob breaking up the trio and develop their youngster to the point of becoming star player or at least trade worthy. As for Klay, I think he need to start thinking whether he wants to be a minimum veteran or retiree.
With the way the kings are growing I think trading sabonis for a more traditional rim protector who is a great roller in the pick and roll is the move, especially cause Murray and monk can provide more with more shots than sabonis can
Klay should try out the Eurolegue. It would fit his game better since he has slowed down. They would still pay him an okay sum of money for being a big name and he'd be able to enjoy the Spanish scenery for a year or two ;D
I think we need to really look at how bad the warriors situation is rn they are going to be in the luxury tax until the 2025-2026 season. When curry will be 38 and in his last year of his contract and might be his last year as an nba player and they don’t really have an avenue to become a top team in the west until then and they have to pay kuminga and even moody this coming season chances are they’ll have enough for an exception and maybe to swing for a big name free agent and their in San Fran not in LA it’s gonna be hard to get a young star or even a star that wants to be close to home. And they most likely won’t be competitive next year so they have little incentive for a big name player to play there. Their championship window just might be over
What is stocks?? You said lebron 9 boards 9 assists and 5 sticks and AD had 4 stocks??? What is a stock in basketball?? Looking at the stat sheet I don’t see it?
I think the warriors have some great young players they found gold late in the draft this year with podz and jackson-davis. The problem is the young players ability to grow and shine has been impeded by klay, cp3, wiggins, looney eating up so much playing time. If klay wants to take a vet minimum contract and ride the bench as a locker room guy, then great otherwise they have to move on from him and the rest of those old guys and build around kuminga and curry. I still believe that kuminga can blossom into a star and the warriors could be a fringe contender with kuminga as their best player in 2-3 years. Only question is if curry and draymond will still be around by then
As a warriors fan… i jad faith but ultimately i knew they werent going to win. Klay is one of my favorite players and seeing him struggle this game and the last few years is sad. They shoulf have won but the Kings got revenge for 2022
I feel sorry for Klay, but I’m more angry at Andrew Wiggins how’d he go from the guy that slowed down Tatum in 2022 to back being the Draft bust Wiggins of old from the Timberwolves.
I think Wiggins is a Vibes player. Just compare how happy he was when he first got to GS. Now you dont see that anymore. So he is back to being lethargic. I think Poole and Mike Brown leaving, Draymond being out of control, Klay playing like dogshit in the beginning, the young guys being over looked by Kerr, plus His personal stuff affects him quite a lot. Quite similar to Curry actually, who is best when he is feeling good.
Thank goodness that 3 point meme chucking dynasty is dead and that bron got the last laugh on em too. Curry could never carry a bad team like BRON BRON
Sacs defense is underrated… what’s their defensive rating since Keon Ellis started starting… 6th.. hot takes: Klay should retire. Regarding Steve Kerr, if kuminga was in in jalen Williams spot would he not be equally fulfilling? As kings fan trying to understand the difference in talent between our team and okc, I can’t help but consider the brown/kerr fox/curry dray/Sabonis heliocentric offensive structures. The short roll high iq forward making good choices from the high post may not be enough in the modern NBA . OKC/Boston laundry machine attack and try again methodically may provide more opportunities. And I guess I affirm that with the proposal of swapping Jalen Williams with kuminga.n yeah yeah fox ain’t shae. But I pose in OKC offense schemes do they commonly have more opportunities to score than warriors or kings? And if so, why would this not increase the likelihood of a better (higher probability of success) shot? Maybe one of the advantages is that the bombarding drive and dish and drive again etc OKC, puts shae into the short roller position, 60%, as opposed to dray or Sabonis. I will say however that leaving your big at the top of the block lets them get back on D. Look at Sabonis and Jokic defensive rating… way better than eye test. Point center/ high post removes 15 feet from getting back… opportunities. Get on base. You are more likely to score. But whatever, it’s just funny to think warriors/kings offense are archaic and so far behind the times..
If CJ and BI were actual basketball players this would’ve been an elite playoff debut for Zion but it’s gonna be wiped under the radar because of his teammates being stupid in the head

@@kennethxu1789 My dude. I'm a huge Timberwolves fan. Wiggins problem is his mentality. He has the talent, skill, athleticism to be that guy. People were calling him Maple Jordan. The Canadian Kobe.
Looking forward to this video, man. 🙌🏾
Thank you Rusty for not being a hater and being able to talk about the Lakers unbiased PS glad to see you doing well mentally and shiii
Moses Moody didn't get any playing time this season inspite of his great play. They need to take a giant swing at someone like Lauri.
couldn’t watch the game as i was at work but was checking stats constantly and didn’t understand why moody wasn’t playing more when klay didn’t score once. asked my roommate if Moody got injured but he said he “played like ass” (but he’s a kings fan). glad to see this to catch up with my warriors.
@crazyturkturk1733 He's not even 4th option good at this point. 6th man at best, and that's a reach.
Glad to see Keegan get some love. I remember the Kings were blasted for that pick.
With his age and injury history, Klay is not not starting caliber anymore at this point in his career. Valuable bench player? Maybe.
On a limited role 20-25 minutes is fine
@@JLS-vv6ye I agree. Starter minutes is out of the question. This isn't 2010's Klay that scored 60 in 3 quarters anymore.
dude... not a starter? stop being dramatic he's just not a top scoring option. he'll find a decent starter role and score like 10-15 points a game much more easily without having to be one of the primary scorers
@@Jeremy-ot6pbwhere is klay starting??? It won’t be a contender
@@Jeremy-ot6pbWhat decent starter only scores 10-15 a game. That's a bench player
Everyone acting tough when they're up. Everyone acting tough.
shut up
to say klay shouldnt even be in the nba anymore a little disrespectful to me. he still provides shooting and some size. granted he had a shitty game today but heading into this game he was actually playing well.
Not ridiculous to say that, a 3&D player who’s not consistent at 3 and ain’t good at D.
He should retire and i think he will.
Shooting? What shooting? inefficient shooting?. Dude can't even play defense so his size isn't properly use anymore either
@@RomnysGonzalezhe shot 38% from 3 and averaged 17ppg . Besides that tough as start to season him coming off the bench he played significantly better. In a reduce role he it still very much valuable
@@RomnysGonzalez38% on like 7 attempts still puts him at one of the best shooters in the league still.
There’s no way you watched the Pelicans game if you think they looked good and “everyone showed up”.
everyone did show up. ingram aint KD and thats ok. he did his best. its just unlucky zion got hurt.
We're living in an era of high standards, the players are better than ever, taller, faster, stronger, smarter...
@@johnmarkson1990 CJ and Ingram had a combined 20 pts shooting a combined 30% from the field so no they did NOT show up
The lakers just OWN us , is what it is. But Zion did ABUSE LeBron both ways, not the first time ive seen it happen but it was crazy. The pelicans used to have a guy called Dante Cunningham whos specialty was shutting down LeBron
@@boshix8130 BI only played 20 minutes and got 11 points he didn't play terribly he also missed like 15 out of the last 20 games of the season due to injury. context matters clearly there was something else going on
It's so sad that zion got hurt after that amazing performance, he just can't catch a break
Jonas Valanciunas had more in him before he came to nba, but the raptors made him build up muscle to how it is now and it hasn't really changed since. If you saw how he dominated before nba you'd be shoocked.
I cant imagine Klay in anything but a Warriors jersey. I almost dont want to see him traded
If he doesnt ask for anything more than 50 mill he can stay , he needs less than that but id throw extra for respect
So you good with 1 year 50 mil then?
Klay prolly on that veteran minimum 😂
Nobody will pay him more than minimal contract and I hope he respects himself enough to retire instead of trying to scrape few more millions at all costs.
Ewing in a magic jersey.
Jordan in a wizards jersey.
Game 6 Klay ❌
0-for-6 Klay ✅
Did you record this in a greenhouse?
Jose Alvarado got busted up during this game. rolled his ankle, took some hard hits, and just kept going. Gotta respect a tough MF like that.
Klay really had the same amount of points I had
The idea of Klay retiring because of his legacy is kinda insane to me, I know players care about it but it would be insane for a player that wants to keep playing to retire because his “””legacy”””” would be favored that way.
I was bartending while sorta watching these games, thanks for uploading this so I could fill in the blanks. It’s not likely, but, Klay could ring-chase next season.
No point in ring chasing he has 4 of them. Maybe Chris Paul because he’s desperate for one.
Looking super shinny today 😅
Walk Hard! I got the reference, and I love it!😂
THANK YOUUUUU!
Isn’t the second song something you used to play a lot?? It immediately hit me with like 2021 regular season nostalgia
Uploading this like 3am your time is crazy you're on the grind fr
Warriors team was just so poorly constructed. Frankly they have too many overpaid players. Klay, CP3, and Wiggins all underperformed horrendously. If Klay comes back it has to be cheap, but generally speaking the time the old core has being dominant is over. Frankly unless they can get another star somehow we’ll be lucky to see curry get to the 2nd round again
bro is so sweaty 😅
I used to pray for times like this 🙏
Imagine starting Klay and then keeping him out there for 30+ minutes. If i was the owner Kerr gets fired immediately after game.
"No one will get that reference!" I did...I did 😂
Dyson Daniels is a horrible NBA player. The Pels could’ve had JDub or Duren. Teams need to stop drafting Australians
Walk Hard: Dewey Cox reference
Fire Steve Kerr he proved this year and last FIBA he’s not that coach anymore
Klay will mostly test free agency and will get a decent deal from someone like Orlando who’s rumored to pursue him. I doubt he’ll retire I think he has a smidge left in the tank
Play the gameplan that got you a good record and momentum❌
Play Klay Thompson 32 minutes✔️
I think, the Pelicans sneakily lost that on purpose without making it too obvious. As you said BI didn't play in the 4th quarter and Zion didn't play in the clutch, because his left leg is "sore".
The first minutes of Sacto-Warriors were comical 😂😂😂😂
Sjaqtin a fool after shadtin a fool
The biggest factor in the pelicans vs lakers game was the refs
😭
Looks like last season without us realizing we have witnessed the end of an era. The best GSW can do now is prob breaking up the trio and develop their youngster to the point of becoming star player or at least trade worthy. As for Klay, I think he need to start thinking whether he wants to be a minimum veteran or retiree.
I think the deciding factor of the game was after Zion got injured it kinda stopped the momentum the pelicans were going on
With the way the kings are growing I think trading sabonis for a more traditional rim protector who is a great roller in the pick and roll is the move, especially cause Murray and monk can provide more with more shots than sabonis can
That lakers game was so fun to watch
Klay should try out the Eurolegue. It would fit his game better since he has slowed down. They would still pay him an okay sum of money for being a big name and he'd be able to enjoy the Spanish scenery for a year or two ;D
Brandon Ingram got benched bro.. he was terrible. So was CJ but he didn't get benched.
So if Klay is still a warrior next year its a vet min right? On any other team he gets over paid.
next time Brian Andersen directly mentions the storyline im killing myself
Wait… I think you’re combining blocks and steals. I get it lol
Only question is if curry and draymond will still be around by then
you really look like that guy from monster house
Yeah, can't help but think Moody is showing off for the other 29 when he becomes FA.
BI is on minutes restriction... At least thats what the announcers said during the game
The Zion injury is a hamstring injury. Not sure if BI is injured again or is just on minute restrictions because he just came back from injury.
As a warriors fan… i jad faith but ultimately i knew they werent going to win. Klay is one of my favorite players and seeing him struggle this game and the last few years is sad. They shoulf have won but the Kings got revenge for 2022
We just gonna ignore that the pels went on like a 30-9 run from the 3rd to the 4th? Lakers was saved by free throws
Klank Thompson showed up for the kings ..
Rusty commin clutch as usual
Yall were so sure it was warriors and lakers in play in
Thank goodness that 3 point meme chucking dynasty is dead and that bron got the last laugh on em too. Curry could never carry a bad team like BRON BRON
Klay shooting so bad he can’t even put up concert dates
ingram didnt get hurt he just got benched because he was playing ass🤣
So what was that reference tho lol
If Malik Beasley is a rotational player Klay has a couple more years in the league
It sounds like kerr is starting to slack
“It’s been ages since Zion was drafted” bro it’s his 4th season 🤣🤣
omni man rusty goes hard
damn Rusty looking hella moisturized. Drop the skin routine asap, king!!
Shoutout Nico Harrison for trading Spence! Missing Doe-Doe though :(
Klay walked off like he about to retire because that wasnt even his stadium, why would he look around like that soaking it all in, he is definitely not playing as long as steph and draymond
People are overreacting. Klay will be a warrior next season, he's just getting a cheaper contract since he has no leverage.
I don’t see why any Warrior fans would want allay back at this point.
