I simply love case studies of Valutainment. Got to know incredible lessons thus implemented in our business to see incredible revenues in last 6 months. Thanks Tom. Thanks Pat.
Hey Tom. Can you do a case study on Lamborghini? such a good story behind how that company went from tractors to cars with the owner of ferrari insulting the owner of Lamborghini. Lamborghini made the car and never looked back.
Great case study. One of the next should be on FUBU. Daymond Johns story is incredible, especially understanding when trends are no longer viable and moving on to other things.
This is the exact RUclips channels I was looking for. Very informative and alot of lessons can be learned from actual businesses. Thank you very much Valuetainment.
Hey Tom, thank you so much for doing this video me and anyone else who suggested it. Love all of the case studies you do and that you choose really interesting companies. If I can make another suggestion it would be to learn more about Mega self-made brands like Oprah or Tony Robbins. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
God I love these case study videos, makes me look at the products surrounding me in a whole different way, kinda adds a human aspect to them by knowing the backstories
An episode that relates to F1, that’s just WINNING! I always wanted to know how Red Bull came into F1. Such a great marketing strategy to implement. Aligned to the red bull events, works so well. I need to do something similar with my business. I wonder what other brands are around us now, not well known that will be the next Redbull… That would be interesting doing an episode on a company that you think would be the next Uber / Google / Red Bull. Then in 2-3 years, look back at the video and see where they’re. Side note Gilles Simon (Engine consultant for Honda) has parted company with Honda today (6th March 2017). He was famous for his work on Ferrari engine during Michael Schumacher era. Makes me think, in relation to your videos, how many can continuously sustain being in the fortune 500. Will Red Bull still be here in 10 years. Looking forward to the next episode :)
Hey Tom! Love your content its really interesting to watch all these companies upbringing and falls! The really neat thing to remember is most of these companies didn't just pop up overnight and took years and decades to develop in what they are today or not here at all. The toys r us story was one that I really enjoyed and couldn't believe their shortfalls. I have a small electronics repair company in st Louis Missouri you should do a case study on.... Haha just kidding it would be a 30 second video. But hey from St Louis your being watched and enjoyed thanks for your hard work! -Paul Owner The Phone Doc, LLC
Hi Tom, Amazing video!! can you do a case study on Brightview landscaping? it's one of the biggest landscaping companies in the US. Thank you for all you do!! -Eduardo
Really enjoying this video. I am doing some research to put together a school assessment task and came across this. However, I don't think Red Bull created Flutag. Check out the Birdman Rally that takes place at the Moomba Festival in Melbourne every year. People build their own gliders and cardboard planes for fun and launch off a platform into the Yarra River. Been going on for decades.
I throughly enjoyed watching this episode. It give me ideas in creating marketing strategy for my manufacturing business. To be honest this video is worth millions. Thank you
Back in the early 90's my dad was buying Red Bull before it was call that from a local Asian store. I remember one time a cop pull him over because he saw him drinking it and thought my dad was taking alcohol in a small bottle in a car. He told them it was drink to boost his energy. The cop gave him a breathalyzer test and it was negative. LOL, At the end of the situation the cop ask my dad where he bought the drink because he want to try some.
Thanks Tom and great video! I think it would be interesting to do a case study on JAMDAT as you will have a unique insider insight on how the company went from launch to acquisition and the lessons you learnt along the way
Red Bull was in Europe for a decade before it launched in USA with no competitor reaction. Within five years of being in the USA it already had a major competitor. I don't know about anyone else here, but to me that says A LOT about business in the USA vs Europe.
Krathing daeng in Thai means Red Bull. I drank it in the 80s. Thought, this is really a great pick me upper. Thought it must have the right vitamins. Then I looked at the ingredients, caffeine and sugar.
As always...you present wonderfully. I love it. A little more on the money figures would have been good against the time line as you usually do. I enjoy the analysis of the milestones over the years and what caused the changes.
Nice breakdown BUT was hoping to hear some about 5 Hour Energy since you had them listed on the graphic. They would be an interesting case study as well.
Thanks for these case studies, they really help. Would you be interested in doing a case study of Toms and how and why they got started and how they got so big? Thank you and God bless.
Hahah funny, interesting, & informal video on such well known product. I think you could've use the "DAM" feature in their a couple of times to make it more catchy haha, but great video & teaching anyways Tom 👍🏻
"... and one day I'll be doing the company that YOU suggested." Oh I'm sorry sir, but I think you mean that one day you'll be doing the company that I built. ;) Keep this videos coming guys. Great Job!
In 1995, playing football, we were given a canned Gatorade Product called GatorLoad prior to a game. When I first tasted Red Bull, I swore it was a can of GatorLoad. I always wondered if there was a link. It was the same stuff.
+John Hickey Very interesting. Gatorade was made / invented at the University of Florida. That's where it gets the "Gator" in the brand name. Redbull was Thailand. Gatorade was first - I don't know about Gatorload. That came later - maybe a test product that was similar? Not sure - thanks - Tom.
The way Red Bull promotes it's brand, reminds me of how Rolex began promoting their own watch products, by having famous people wear their watches and by giving people their watches to wear for important events. Events like swimming the English channel.
Tom, tell me about a company that starts with more than one product, do you think is good? I know about the IG case and Heinz case, but at least in my case I without a year have to move to create 2 more products that complement the package of what my companies offer. Thanks in advance sorry for the bad english.
+Danijel Domjanovic I don't think red Bulls going to lose its position however Monster is closing in on 40% market share. It's very quickly becoming a war among two very tough competitors. I think both are going to be around for a while. Thanks - Tom
+matjazkranjc - each one is a couple hours of research and then a couple hours of analysis but I usually have reference points in my head from what I know of the company already. Thanks, Tom
