Seitebogo is so inspirational and Qaqambile is a wonderful mother. Dear Lebo, I would like to share something life changing that came from watching a tragic story being told on the show of a mother who lost her little girl to drowning. Since watching that episode in late August or early September, I enrolled my daughter and niece in swimming class where they have been going once a week since September. They are now proficient swimmers and I would like to thank her for sharing her painful story. I had always worried about the swimming pool in our complex as well as when we visit friends and other places with pools. Thanks to her and sharing her daughter's tragic story, my daughter and my niece may never have to worry about being around water. May her little angel continue to rest in peace. Love and light
I had the privilege of having Seitebogo as a friend in primary/high school and she was indeed feisty 😅 But more than that she was confident and kind, not allowing any 'defect' to hinder her esteem. Brilliant to see her endeavors flourish!
I am living with cleft palate , mine is inside you cant see but it affected my speech ,i never see anything wrong with me and i had a best childhood , i remember singing in the class ,making noise always .the problem always starts when you start meet people who don't understand why i sound different .today i am working in a corporate world , i have to speak slow so that my colleagues can hear me . i have started a process to fix it cos the dr said it can improve my speech . my operation was not completed i had 1 operation done when i was young then my mom was scared to go back
Besides Infections, it's easier to suture the lips and is a short procedure. Reconstruction of the palate is complicated a d takes long and is too much for ba ies to endure. Beautiful episode 💕
Thanks for the great show as always. It hurts to see older people with cleft lip or palate whose parents never knew about surgery or from disadvantaged communities.Undiagnosed cleft lip or palate are the hardest news to break to new mom as midwife. Thanks to the latest technology (4D scan) some moms are psychologically prepared prior deivery.
Good day. We are also a couple raising a 7 months old baby girl with Cleft pallate. And currently feeding with PEG tube. I must say it's not an easy journey as we are awaiting surgery, which depends on how much weight she's on. We both don't have Cleft Gene's in our family which is a question we always get from Drs. So I guess, such things do happen. We just can't wait for her to reach that weight so they can do the surgery. 😢 However, she's just happy child ❤ Thank you Lebo,it's good to see or know that there are people who are living with or rather affected by this. I think it's not given much awareness as it should be.
Having Moebius Syndrome we also have cases of cleft palates and cleft foot but I was lucky enough not to have it I was close enough because the shape of my feet and the scarring of my cleft palate so it's an environment I know very well I'm so glad you raise awareness of cleft palate
Look how beautiful she is I'm sure you are also as beautiful..I dont even see anything on her face I'm mesmerized by her confidence but also aesthetically she's beautiful
She's gorgeous. Mine is the Palate one. Nothing shows from the outside and but more inside similar to the baby boy's condition . The roof my mouth( the Palate) is still open though.
