While I see some of the resell as absolutely ridiculous, I see stores trying to dictate what you do with the product after it's yours as just plain overreach. Once that money's exchanged that box and shoes is that customer's property. Pretty soon they'll try something worse like trying to license the rights for you to wear them , essentially making you a renter of your clothing.
