II don't know... I understand with my brain - these are the top of the line strongest players in the world. But at the same time this game was mostly so much "the same and the same" monotonous left to left rallies type of game. Phenomenal mastery, but boring as hell. ) Pardon me.. I think Ma Lin, Xu-Xin, Wang Hao games was so mush more entertaining. No? What I did see here is just very hard job for the players. After 4th set they were already exhausted and I felt sorry for them that they "must continue to play" and entertain the audience. A job.

Good game. I had a feeling that the players are not comfortable with smth in the beginning. Probably black table on a dark floor background? Both are excellent but the style is just different. Congrats to Fan, but my heart is with Ma.
When you see both top players play , they play their mentality to the breakdown ,mind games , strategies , footsteps, even breath... looking at intense facial expression on them , the atmosphere is really choking and i got the thrill between them
If you watch Fan Zhengdong in slow motion, when he hits the powerful backhand, he jumps back a little as usual before the shot, and then jumps a little more back same time with the shot. How can he separately hit so hard forward with the hand, when he is flying backwards?
They both seem fairly unaware to me. The high energy dude seems to be just a fan boy of Ma. Usually in sports the commentator is supposed to be neutral. Almost unprofessional commentary.
Fan is the new dictator, Ma is still a fantastic player but there is something that has changed and now he can’t be the future leader. No disrespect here, just a new wave of players better than the god Ma Long.
