Con tutto il rispetto per tutti, ma mi è piaciuta molto di più l'apertura dell'anno 1993, quella del Messico "Viva la Noche" (Lunga vita alla notte), mi ha reso molto energico e molto felice, per me, è il migliore. Quell'anno i messicani fecero una produzione molto bella.
Totally agree, the camera work was perfect, it enhanced the liveliness of the coreography. The work of mixing an intro song related to the world area the candidates represented to then continue with the catchy song Viva la Noche as background music at the parade of nations and swimsuit competition was a brilliant idea.

MU 1999 in Trinidad and Tobago - very festive vibe
MU 2007 in Mexico - simple but very strikingly beautiful
MU 2018 in Thailand - stage and presentation very superb

@@pablocerdaluna443 agreed! I remember even Lupita Jones of Mexico looked irritated and bothered by the disrespect being shown by her countrymen throughout the show.

Yes that is true, but Miss World is more competitive and prestigous. Miss world has around 110 contestans and Miss Universe has around 80 contestants each year! and the same countries do not make the semis like Miss Universe!That is what makes miss world more competative

the good old fays today the openings are really bad
Miss Universe openings are always full of energy, music and color. Miss World pageants are always boring and slow. They may have 200 countries competing, but only 20 or so have what it takes. I´ve always prefered quality over quantity, so I don´t care about number of countries competing. Miss Universe clearly beats Miss World by a landslide.
