This helped me get a lot of new information about the YMY bodies, thanks! I'm getting a custsom nendoroid and from the pictures I'm about 99.9% sure I'm getting a YMY body with it. Fine by me since there are a ton of obitsu 11 clothes out there for decent prices. :)
Try disono body. They are better

Oooh I like the ymy body, definitely goes better than ob11 on nendoroids I think. However I like the clothes and shoes gsc makes for nendoroid doll and they seem to be producing more things for it, it's way more assessable.
If you just ask me about the body itself I like ymy better. But nendoroid doll has more support and the bigger clothes for ob11 can fit on it.
that is why im continuing my nendoroid doll since it can fit a ob11 clothes apart from its nendoroid doll clothes while ob11/ymy cant fit nendoroid doll clothes

I would choose YMY/OB11 body. While nendoroid dolls have magnets on them and stands, are easy to pif on the head and all that, it’s just that, there aren’t as much nendoroid doll clothing than for YMY/OB11. It’s a huge hassle trying to find the clothes you’re looking for a nendoroid doll. Great video as always!
Agreed. Im still torn between the two since i started with nendoroid dolls. I really love the joints of YMY/OB11
I agree.. Having started out with Nendoroid dolls, I do find it harder to get clothing and do tend to mix with some from OB11. But for my shoes, I got the sets from GSC... And doing one on my OB11 now and I have to say it's so much easier getting the things.

Thank you for this vid! Personally, I like the nendoroid body more because, unlike Ymy and ob11, you can reuse the hands you got from your nendoroid. You can save money from buying hands. Also, the neck of ymy and ob11 body is longer than the nendo archetype so it'll look awkward if your wear thin clothes to the ymy body.
This is true. I use the extra nendoroid hands to my nendoroid dolls. Especially the ones with weapons or effects

so will a regular/official nendoroid head fit on a YMY body? i'm getting the fgo bedivere nendo and am thinking about customizing with YMY/ob11 clothes, but i see a lot of pics that model the clothes with fake nendoroid heads. just wanted to make sure.
Yes YMY will fit just like a nendoroid doll body. Ob11 and Disono bodies are the ones that needs a quick customization to connect a nendoroid head

Youre welcome. Its similar with nendoroid or nendoroid dolls. You just need the default nendoroid neck connector

It means the patterns from the books of Nendoroid doll clothes will not fit on a YMY body? I just started this new “hobby” (since I’m a cosmaker 😅 and I felt that I could make tiny clothes too) so I ordered a YMY body and a couple of nendoroid doll clothes books to make patterns and customise my own. I bought the Nendoroid doll Knitting book 3 and Nendoroid doll clothes 2 🥺

Ob11 feet to nendoroid body is not possible because the connectors are different. For the first, i think it will do since ob11 clothes are bit larger. Might try it someday
Edit: Putting a tack it on ob11 feet's peg will work

I think i know how they did putting ob11 feet to a nendoroid doll, you need to put tack it on the pegs to secure the feet. The only problem in putting ob11 feet to nendoroid doll is its quite loose.

Nendoroid doll shoes wont fit to YMY's feet. Nendoroid doll shoes are too small for YMY feet. Obitsu 11 shoes does fit for YMY

Hello, Question. I'm getting a pre-300 nendoroid and I was wondering which body would be best for it. I heard the pre-300 nendoroids are built differently so I'm not sure which body would work or if it would even work at all.

Hello, I have a question I got myself a Nendoroid doll and wanted to attach it to the faceplate and my issues is that the neck joint is showing...is that normal? It makes my Nendoroid show a long neck...and whenever I look at photos of Nendoroid dolls they don't seem to have a long neck...am I missing something?T.T
Hi. You are using the longer neck connector. You can easily identify if its a long neck connector, if the ball joint is quite oblong. Try to check if you have the circular ball joint neck connector
hello! do you know if the YMY doll's arms can be removed and replaced with the Nendoroid doll arms? i prefer the smaller Nendoroid doll arms over the YMY arms but like the YMY more overall.
No you cant. The nendoroid doll pegs are bit big to fit in to the ymy body

I wanted to get a commission did of my character, but it seems they use an Obitsu 11 body for it. I really like the sound of the YMY one. Also Is there a difference between the Obitsu 11 and YMY bodies in general?

Shoes of ob11 are too big for nendoroid doll. It may fit, you just need to put some socks. I can recommend to check one of my videos on clothing options for nendo doll

i dont have any kind of doll(hopefully soon) so i cant comment on the functionality, but i think the ymy dolls are a lot smoother looking and more visually appealing (tho it doesnt matter as much once you put the clothes on)

Hello! May i ask if the ymy limbs/arms are detachable? I'm a bit nervous ecause i just bought mine recently and while putting on clothes on my nendo the left limb was detached although i was able to reattach them again. Is this normal or does my ymy body have a defect? Thank you so much for your informative video!
Yes they are detachable. Its more easier to dress them up if you remove the arms.
What type of head do I need for a YWY body? Can I make the doll's hair with clay or smt like that?
You only need a nendoroid head / nendoroid neck connector

Its a struggle to me as well. You just need to pull it slowly. I sometimes use a tweezer to pull it off
@@benysandcollect update: I used a screw and pushed through the top of the neck and it came out easily!!

i personally don't like obitsu11 for some reason, so i've been considering getting a ymy instead… this is such a nice comparison~

Which shoes are well compartible with nendoroid doll body except the originals from gsc?
Most of it are compatible except some are loose. You need thick socks to compensate it

For nendoroid doll. You can buy it at amiami or goodsmile site.. i got mine local toy stores. For ymy i got mine from yayas boutique. It also available in aliexpress or taobao. Ymy has a special size, there is a smaller size

For the head i use nendoroid head. For the ymy bodies, aliexpress. Obitsu 11 bodies and clothes can be bought at hlj.com or amiami.com. there are also clothes from aliexpress

Some nendoroid doll clothes fits to ymy body like kimono or loose clothes. Pants and shoes (nendoroid doll) wont fit to YMY. Its my first time i heard that rengoku will have a nendoroid doll. Thats great

You have to ask the seller because some sellers use nendoroid doll body measurement. Obitsu11 and ymy have the same size

I have a question, I have a kaito nendoroid but his neck is attached to his head and can’t be removed, does that mean he can’t use the body?
He can still. Kaito has the old nendoroid neck structure. I was able to convert an old nendoroid to nendoroid doll
