Hi Laura, thanks so much for making this video. I love how you start the herringbone -- much better than starting with ladder stitch. And thanks too for the good idea of using an extra long piece of thread, so that we can work off both sides. I learned a lot! 😘

Thanks for a fantastic video and a counter-intuitive way to start off. I find this method really great because I really don't like weaving in the ends much and so I use a double wingspan of thread, start off in the middle and then have another length to finish beading. This saves me a lot of weaving in ends. Thanks again!

Only you showed me how to remove the ladder stitch at the beginning. That is so good to have gone! Looking ti mire and better herringbone with you.

Love the start steps you have shown - I've never seen that before. Great technique! Thanks. Very useful to not have the ladder stitch at the base and able to work either end.

Thank you for a wonderful video. I have used tubular herringbone in the past, but after looking at your completed projects at the end, you have inspired me to get beading again and doing more interesting designs! Love from 🇬🇷 Greece!

Thank you so much for teaching this method. I have tried many times to start herringbone tubes and always get mixed up on where to go. This approach makes it much easier and understandable.

Once upon a time someone gave me an issue of Beadwork magazine that had your artist profile in it (and the pattern to the ribbons and rings bracelet) and that was it. I'd done some basic beading before (and the basic stitches which make up the foundation of beading aren't hard) but that began my love of sculptural beadwork and it'ssnowballed from that point. Holding out hope for a Toronto class if you make it to Canada when this whole mess is over.

Laura! Thanks for the video! Do you have a place to purchase the pattern for the super cool jellyfish necklace? Didn’t see it on the site, hopefully I just missed it.

I’m just wondering do you do it all in one length? I want to have a large feature pearl between each section. Would it be easier to do in pieces and then string together? Love your designs and wish it were possible to buy just instructions. Import charges make the kits cost prohibitive for me.

why so complicated start? I do not see the reason for that.
