Try not to put too many screws or nails in the tree. It creates scabs around the area and if there are too many close together the tree could break off in the weakened area. I built the kids a tree house in a big White Pine about 15 years ago and it only has 4 lag bolts in the whole tree. The platform is 8'x8' and everything is still solid today. Too bad the kids have grown up and no one uses it anymore.

Not worried at all. It's a maple with good diameter. It will grow over the bolts in a few years.
