Anyone looking at a 350 for some speed won’t be looking at a 350 so criticising it for not being fast is a criticism which really holds no weight. Talking of weight, 180kg isn’t heavy. This bike is a welcome 15kg lighter than the Royal Enfield Classic 350 which is exactly the sort of customer Honda are pitching this bike to. If Honda can make a bike that does exactly what the RE350s are excelling at, at a similar price point but with Japanese build quality, longer service intervals and better residual value, they’re onto a winner. It’s refreshing to see so many brands bringing small, cheap and fun bikes out. Better to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.
Yesss, you totally get it! 🙌 This bike is all about that sweet spot of fun, not speed demon stuff! The GB350S might not be a rocket, but who needs crazy horsepower when you’ve got Honda’s reliability and style in a lighter package? 🤩
I dont live in a congested city but if I did I’d get one knowing that it would do the job, be easy to maintain, looks great and easy on the wallet. Also perfect for being left unattended in a street or carpark as joy riders wont be interested and it’s likely the last vehicle to be targeted by thieves.
Honda have a history of these mid rangers. The only thing to consider over this is the larger capacity Royal Enfield Bear 650 interceptor. But a great bike for beginners. I was also have liked to see the classic spoked wheels like you get with bicycles. But thanks for the review buddy. 😅
This has me thinking 🤔 reminds me of my first bike a Honda CB250RS and while not exactly quick I rode it everyday every where as I had no car back then and still liked at home. This would make a great 2nd bike or city Urban, match it with a DRZ4S and you have the best of both worlds. I am almost certain we all are going back to our motorcycle core principles, simplicity and budget flexibility. I am quite happy with the prospect of 2 smaller bikes rather then one big expensive one these days.
@@SaffySprocket This bike was developed in India as the Highness (their take on Royal) in 2020...the exact version of this GB 350 is the CB 350 based on the same platform that they released in India last year...and I think after seeing REs success with the 350s in the UK, they have ventured out with these!
I took my GB350 to an old motorcycle mechanic to get punctured tyre changed. He looked at it and said if you were going to ride around the world this is the kinda bike you’d want to do it on. A strong endorsement.
Well, I am riding a RSV4 and still, this thing is getting my attention. Might buy it as Honda is doing a good job on their currently lineup. Lovely thing.
I think the power for what the bike is meant to do is just fine, like the RE350s that have been popular in the uk, it’s a relaxed easy to ride city bike/country roads chugger Problem is with power arguments for bikes is that it’s never enough for some people. Honda could make it with 40HP like the triumph 400s , but then everyone will moan it needs to be a 70hp bike, and if they upscaled it as a 70hp, people will moan it’s not 110hp. I see it time and time again for lots of lower HP bikes
I think the days of "more power better" are long gone too. People are starting to realise that bigger doesn't mean better and in most cases medium sized bikes perform just as well especially given the fact we're all capped 90% of the time regarding speed limits
I own one here in Australia, what a pleasure it is to ride, owned much more powerful bikes, sure it makes 21 horsepower but it makes 30nm of torque at 3 thousand revs, with its wide ratio box long stroke engine and high gearing she thumps along, average fuel consumption is 2.3 litres per 100klm
Super cool Saffy as well as my 1150gsa an Honda nx500 on my other channel I ride a lot of older motorcycles including my 1927 Norton 16H long stroke single 4.9hp and 252lbs bit of a flying machine. I’ve been hoping that someone would bring something like this out again for years it’s great to see Honda do it at such a sensible price an give Enfield some competition especially.
I think this is why my xsr900 is never going away. I just change the color every year or so, and just enjoy the heck out of it. Plus, like this new Honda, it makes a nice city bike. I wish this Honda, and a few other newer small cc bikes were around 12 years ago. I’d have had a field day picking one out, or all of them. Nice vid. Cheers. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Hi saffy, I totally agree with you, lovely looking bike and not a million miles different to my bike on style - yamaha xj600s diversion, classed as an old man's bike, well i guess i am even though I like to think I'm still in my 30"s not over double that 😀, I'm sure being a biker only has kept me young. Thanks for the great video! Best wishes Roy 👍 😊.
Haha, you’re definitely not alone, Roy! 😄The Yamaha XJ600S Diversion has that timeless, classy style just like the GB350S-proof that great bikes never go out of fashion! 🙌
Just looked at the specs then your vid popped up! Completely agree. What I liked was the tank size and you know Hondas are pretty frugal. However I saw 800mm seat height which is a bit small for me. (That was my thing re the classic 350 but need to test more). P.s Honda def needed something to combat R enf and Triumph.
Once it's finally on the road next year, you're more than welcome to have a try on my 2007 Royal Enfield Bullet 350. It by FAR will not be the best example, but it'll be an experience for certain😅
The tank range is impressive Saffy, I think it look's kinda cool, Always fancied a mid range single, although as with all new bikes the tail end holding the plate just doesn't do it for me, but I'm sure there will be aftermarket solutions to this
Its competitors being the Triumph 400s, that have twice the power . The 20bhp Honda is just not going to cutt it. ... Ill take the Triumph 400 scrambler x any day of the week 😊
Totally get where you’re coming from! The Triumph 400 Scrambler X is a powerhouse, no doubt! 💥 But hey, not everyone’s after max power-some of us just want those classic, laid-back vibes and Honda reliability for everyday rides. 😉

The styling brings back the romance of motorcycling!
Yesss, you totally get it! 😍 The GB350S has that dreamy, old-school charm that just makes you want to hit the open road and soak up every moment!
I'm glad this is finally making it to the UK. It was launched in India as the "H'ness" back in 2020, so it's been quite a while.
It's called cb350 RS in India
Right?! So glad it’s finally hitting the UK! 🎉 The wait has been a long one, but it looks like it was totally worth it!

This bike was a direct reaction to the RE 350 classic in India...Im glad it finally made it to Europe!
I wonder if they're trying to tackle the Indian market

I love that bike it's definitely one I'd like to add to my retro collection 😉
You and me both!

Now that’s the ultimate stamp of approval! 🙌 When a seasoned mechanic says the GB350 is world-tour ready, you know Honda did something right! 🌍💪
Well, I am riding a RSV4 and still, this thing is getting my attention. Might buy it as Honda is doing a good job on their currently lineup. Lovely thing.
Couldn't agree more!
Beautiful bike - beautiful presenter 👍
Love the old school looks of it and the styling
Yesss, the old school looks are everything! 😍

You do wonder why it is so low when Honda’s own RS250 single was 26bhp forty years ago….
Agreed it is beautiful. I'd buy one.
Sammmmmmeeee
Best bike of EICMA 2024....Some competition for Royal Enfield.
It's stunning isn't it!
I own one and it just rides great

I also like to change bike colours every year ahahaha
Seems to be a decent bike for beginners who don,t mind the lack of horsepower
I think it could be a bike popular with shorter riders too!
beutifull bike, hopely they are available also in Indonesia marketss
Yeeeessss

Nice,it reminds me of my 185cc honda benley in the 80's B.y.w.b..❤
The GB350S definitely has that nostalgic, old-school Honda charm!
if you ever heard of Ed March you know you can go long distance on any bike. I think this 350 will be perfect to ride across Europe.
Ed March is the perfect example! 😆 If he can take a tiny bike on epic journeys, this GB350S is more than ready for a European adventure!
Think the gb500 is one if the beat looking cafe racers of the 80s.
the GB500 is an absolute classic! 😍 It’s got that perfect balance of retro cool and cafe racer style that still turns heads today.
Just looked at the specs then your vid popped up! Completely agree.

Well said!
Looks like a good commuter.
Oh, absolutely! 😎 The GB350S is perfect for zipping through city streets and making that daily commute feel way more fun! 🏙️
Vintage all the way!
vintage vibes all the way!! 🙌 This bike is bringing those classic feels with a modern twist, and I am here for it! 🏍✨
Once it's finally on the road next year, you're more than welcome to have a try on my 2007 Royal Enfield Bullet 350. It by FAR will not be the best example, but it'll be an experience for certain😅
Looks like the Spanish sanglass singles from the 80s

Aftermarket market loves retro bikes 🤩
Some more shiny chrome and/or polished alloy and I'd be interested. Spoked wheels too possibly.
Ooooh, yes, I feel you! 😍 A bit of extra chrome and polished alloy would definitely crank up the classic vibes on this beauty! ✨
It is a nice looking bike. 😊
I think so too!
Saffy looking good 😊Are you just going to the stands that are empty all the others jammed
Neither! When you roll in a giant camera, it spreads crowds away because people are shy ahahaha
Is it one cylinder? If yes then great. Old fashioned designs are timeless and useful.
For Europeans and America's ,here in India it's cb 350 hness it's best beats re and dusts it .
Oh that's really interesting
Evening Staffy 👍😊...
Hello there!
Its competitors being the Triumph 400s, that have twice the power .

These vintage looking bikes look far better and proper old school. The more they try and improve bikes today the less attractive they become.
@@MalContent I really like them! I'm really dogging the old school look at the moment
Looks good, shame about the lack of power though
More than enough for the bike I think! It's just something worth keeping in mind
There is also the RE Guerilla and the Triumph 400s with about 40 ps.
👌👌👍
😃
Very similar to the 1970's CB 350.
Had to Google it but yes!
It's the kind of bike you had when you were knee high to a grass hopper, still in your prime, young, free, single and totally reckless.
ahahaha for sure
Only show the right side, so British
😂
Should I get this if coffee gives me high blood pressure?
No. You should get 2 😂
1:28 i dunno, it looks very droppable.. have more of a can do attitude, no bike is saffy style proof..
ahahahahahahhaha
Wheels are horrible, should be spoaked. Don't like the speedometer.
😂
@SaffySprocket should have said Spoked lol 😀
